(Matthew 17:1-9)
On the mountain, the disciples witnessed a glimpse of Christ’s glory—His face shining like the sun, His clothes radiant with heavenly light. In that sacred moment, heaven touched earth, and the Father’s voice declared, “This is my Son… Listen to Him.”
The Transfiguration reminds us that before the suffering of the Cross, there was the revelation of glory. Jesus allowed His disciples to see who He truly is so that when trials came, their faith would not fail. In the same way, God gives us moments of light in our lives, moments of clarity, peace, and assurance—to strengthen us for the valleys we must walk through.
Lent invites us to climb the mountain with Jesus, to listen more deeply, and to trust even when we do not fully understand. When fear overwhelms us, He gently
says, “Get up. Don’t be afraid.”
May His light transform our hearts, and may we carry that light as we journey toward Easter.
