On August 2, 2026, at 9:30 AM, the faithful of BEC Cabug gathered at GK Cabug Chapel to celebrate the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Very Rev. Fr. Lou-an P. Torrefranca, VF, who invited the community to reflect on the miracle of sharing and to recognize God's abundant blessings even amid life's struggles.

In his homily, Fr. Lou-an encouraged the faithful to look beyond what seems lacking in their lives. He compared this to a bottle of water that is only half full. While many people focus on what is missing, God invites us instead to be grateful for what has already been given. He reminded everyone that God's blessings are often greater than we realize, but they can be overlooked when our attention is fixed only on what we do not have.

Reflecting on the Gospel of the five loaves and two fish, Fr. Lou-an explained that its greatest lesson is not merely the miracle itself but the miracle of sharing. He emphasized that true sharing begins with breaking. Just as the bread had to be broken before it could be shared with the multitude, we too must allow ourselves to be broken through sacrifice, compassion, and selflessness so that God's love may reach others through us. Though being broken can be painful, it is often through these moments that God works His greatest miracles.

As we continue our journey of faith, may we learn to appreciate the blessings already present in our lives, willingly share what God has entrusted to us, and never be afraid of being broken for the sake of love. Through generous hearts and faithful service, may we become instruments of God's grace and witnesses of His overflowing goodness.

Robert Kristoffer A. Nobles, who encouraged the community to reflect on discovering the true treasure of life by seeking God above all else and becoming faithful vessels of His grace.

โ€ŽIn his homily, Fr. Robert encouraged the faithful to ask themselves what they value most in life. He explained that we are called to seek the "great pearl" the priceless treasure of God's Kingdom and to continually strive to become better followers of Christ. While temptations and evil are present in the world, we are given the freedom to choose whether to accept or reject them. God has created everything for our good and desires that we use His gifts wisely.

On July 12, 2026, the community of BEC Cabug gathered in prayer to celebrate the 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The Eucharistic celebration was solemnly presided over by Rev. Fr. Norman S. Egay, who invited everyone to reflect on the true meaning of life and how the Word of God can grow and bear fruit in our hearts.

In his homily, Fr. Egay reminded the faithful that our faith is like watching television. When we do not like what we see or hear, we simply change the channel. In the same way, many people choose to ignore God's message and listen only to what they want to hear. However, a true disciple remains open to God's Word, even when it challenges us to change.

Reflecting on the Gospel, Fr. Egay asked the faithful, "What kind of soil is our heart?" He explained that the Word of God comes to us like a seed. It is not yet a fully grown tree, but it carries the potential to flourish. Just as a seed needs water, fertilizer, and proper care to grow, God's Word also needs to be nourished through prayer, faith, and good works.

The faithful were encouraged not only to receive God's Word but also to let it grow and bear fruit in their daily lives. This growth requires effort, commitment, and a willingness to live according to God's teachings. When we faithfully nurture the seed of God's Word in our hearts, its fruits become visible through our actions, love, and service to others.

On July 11, 2026 (Saturday), an Area Mass was celebrated at Purok Rosal, with Rev. Fr. Norman S. Egay as the main celebrant. The Eucharistic celebration brought together the faithful from the different Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) within the area, united as one family in Christ.

Gathered in prayer, worship, and fellowship, the faithful offered thanksgiving to God and strengthened their communion with one another. Through the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the communities were renewed in faith, inspired to grow in love and service, and reminded of their shared mission to proclaim the Gospel through their words and actions.

May the Lord continue to bless every Basic Ecclesial Community, deepen our faith, and guide us to live as true witnesses of Christ's love, bringing hope, peace, and unity to our families and communities.

Today, July 8, 2026 (Wednesday), an Area Mass was held at Purok Monico Ville, presided over by Rev. Fr. Norman S. Egay. The celebration brought together the faithful from different Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) within the area to celebrate the Holy Eucharist as one family in Christ.

United in prayer, worship, and fellowship, the faithful gathered to give thanks to God and deepen their communion with one another. The Eucharistic celebration strengthened the bonds of unity among the communities, renewed their faith, and reminded everyone of their shared mission to live out and proclaim the Gospel through lives of love, service, and hope.

On July 5, 2026, the faithful gathered to celebrate the 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The Eucharistic celebration was solemnly led by Rev. Fr. Norman S. Egay, who invited everyone to reflect on the true source of peace and rest amid life's burdens.

In his homily, Fr. Norman reminded the faithful that Christ lovingly calls us, "Come to me... for my yoke is easy and my burden is light." He explained that the rest God offers is not simply freedom from hardships but the strength and peace that come from walking with Him. God never abandons His people in times of suffering. He journeys with us through every trial, reminding us that we are never alone.

On June 28, 2026, the faithful gathered to celebrate the 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The Eucharistic celebration was solemnly led by Rev. Fr. Norman S. Egay, who invited the community to reflect on the true meaning of generosity and Christian discipleship.

In his homily, Fr. Norman reminded the faithful that many people do good while expecting something in return. He explained that although God never fails to reward every act of goodness, receiving a reward should never be our reason for doing good. Instead, we are called to perform acts of kindness as followers of Christ, becoming instruments of God's grace and welcoming His blessings into the lives of others. True giving comes from a heart that seeks to love rather than to gain.

The faithful were also reminded that our generosity should be rooted in gratitude for all that God has given us. The more we give with sincere love, the more we receive, not only in material blessings but also in peace and joy. Above all, our love for God must remain greater than anything else, even our love for our own families. When we give ourselves wholeheartedly to God, we discover that we already possess everything we truly need.
