🌸 Buddha’s Birthday Bathing Ceremony 🌸
FGS Yuan Thong Temple recently held an English Buddha Bathing Blessing Ceremony with around 40 participants from the local community.
The ceremony began with offerings by devotees, while youth representatives offered two books written by Venerable Master Hsing Yun: The Biography of Shakyamuni Buddha and Stories of the Buddha’s Previous Lives. The congregation chanted the Triple Gem Hymn, listened to readings from the Dhammapada, and enjoyed youth choir performances of “The Noble Eightfold Path” and “Where Are You, Buddha?”
The Dharma talk shared the story of the Buddha’s birth and Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s teaching of “I Am Buddha,” encouraging everyone to practice the Three Acts of Goodness in daily life.
The ceremony concluded with Venerable You Hui leading the song “I Am Buddha,” followed by the Buddha Day Prayer, Triple Refuge, and Dedication of Merits. 🙏✨
佛光山圓通寺日前舉辦全英文佛誕浴佛祈福禮，共有40位信眾與社區民眾歡喜參與。
法會由信徒獻供揭開序幕，青年並獻上星雲大師著作《釋迦牟尼佛傳》與《佛陀本生故事》。現場恭讀《法句經》、唱誦《三寶頌》，青年詩班獻唱《八正道》及〈佛陀您在哪裡〉，透過音樂與佛法傳遞慈悲與希望。
開示中分享佛陀降誕故事及星雲大師提倡的「我是佛」精神，鼓勵大眾從做好事、說好話、存好心開始，在生活中實踐人間佛教。
活動最後，由有惠法師帶領大眾唱響〈我是佛〉、念誦佛誕祈願文，並於三皈依與迴向中圓滿法會。🙏
