Forming future priests after the Sacred Heart of Jesus!

The Sacred Heart Seminary - Bacolod officially opened its Formation Year 2026-2027 last week, right after the Feast of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

As our seminarians both from the Senior High School Department and the College Department officially begin their journey, we are blessed to present our Formation Directory which introduces our Seminary Formators and each class of our seminarians.

Let us continue to pray for the perseverance of our seminarians and for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

In a seminary, formation goes beyond academic achievement. The seminary seeks to form not only knowledgeable minds but also virtuous hearts capable of responding generously to God's call. For this reason, deportment is given particular importance in the life of every seminarian.

Alongside human, spiritual, and pastoral formation, the Church also values intellectual formation as an indispensable dimension of priestly preparation. Through diligent study, seminarians are equipped to understand the truths of the faith more deeply and to proclaim the Gospel with wisdom and conviction.

As we celebrate the achievements of our brothers, may we remember that every award is not merely a recognition of success but a reminder of the responsibility to continue growing in wisdom, virtue, and holiness. See less

A Dinner with Formators.

โ€‹An evening of deep gratitude as the 12 aspirants shared a delightful dinner with our formators, headed by the Very Rev. Fr. Ruel S. Jundos.

โ€‹During the gathering, Father Rector reminded the aspirants: โ€‹"Every time is a grace, and you are a grace for the community."
โ€‹This special event marks the conclusion of the Prep-CLIP Program 2026, serving as a quiet moment of fellowship just before the rest of the community arrives.

โ€‹Let us continue to pray for the perseverance of our brother aspirants and for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

The journey begins with a blessing from the Shepherd.

โ€‹In keeping with our annual tradition, the Sacred Heart Seminary community, led by our seminary formators, humbly presented the 12 new aspirants to our beloved Bishop, Most Rev. Patricio A. Buzon, SDB, DD.

โ€‹During the visit, Bishop Pat shared a powerful reminder of a seminarian's ultimate purpose: โ€œTo know Jesus above all... this is what your vocation is all about.โ€

โ€‹May these beautiful words inspire our new brothers to persevere and remain steadfast in the calling they have chosen.

Let us continue to pray for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life!
