Jesus, the Divine Teacher, make our hearts like thine!

June is for Jesus!

While the world has claimed this month for pride, we as children of the Church know better. 𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴.

This month, let us reclaim it not with noise, not with anger, but with the weapon that conquers all: 𝐇𝐔𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐒 — 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮.

The world teaches us to lift ourselves up. The Sacred Heart teaches us to lower ourselves, so that He may be lifted up in us. The world screams, "Look at me!" The Heart of Jesus whispers, "Come to Me."

In a time of confusion, of forgotten identities, of hearts searching for meaning — only one Heart can satisfy. And it beats in the Blessed Sacrament, waiting for us to return His love.

𝗟𝗲𝘁 𝘂𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵. Not with flags of pride, but with banners of the Sacred Heart. Not with parades of self, but with a march of humility.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus is the human manifestation of the love of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, not only for us but for all creation.

Our heartfelt thanks go to our outgoing BUDS Officers 2025–2026. It was a grace-filled year of camaraderie and cooperation, focused on cultivating faith, hope, and charity.

We also extend a warm welcome to the newly elected officers of BUDS for 2026–2027. May the same Holy Spirit who blessed us with different gifts continue to strengthen us as we persevere in our vocation toward holiness.

As Pope Leo in his papal motto: In Illo uno unum (“In the One, we are one”) constantly embodies, may we become authentic channels of unity and peace for one another rooted in Christ for in Him we are one.

𝐁𝐔𝐃𝐒 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲, 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲, 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡

BACOLOD CITY – “For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another” (1 John 3:11). This biblical verse framed the general assembly of the BUDS (Bacolod Union of Diocesan Seminarians) held on the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, at the Seminary Parlor of Sacred Heart Seminary-Bacolod, May 25, 2026.

The assembly convened at 9:30 AM and featured two major agenda items: the reading of the BUDS Constitution, which has been ratified since 2000, and the election of a new President and Secretary General.

The body welcomed its newly elected leaders: Sem. Aldin John Constantino as President, Sem. Ralph Martin Inventor as Secretary General, and Sem. Francis Rey Cañete as Jaro Representative. The gathering also extended its gratitude to outgoing officers Sem. Jayrald Mariano, Sem. Sandie Tranquilino, and Sem. Christan John Perlin for their invaluable service.

The BUDS General Assembly serves as a regular venue for updating and fostering brotherhood among the diocesan seminarians of Bacolod.

Configuration Stage seminarians paid a heartfelt courtesy call to Bishop-Emeritus Patricio Buzon, Bacolod's Apostolic Administrator, at the Bishop's House — sharing a joyful lunch, receiving books from the good bishop, and soaking in his powerful reminder: "Always foster a relationship with God. Theology is not just the study of God — more importantly, it is the love of God."
