The Holy Father Pope Leo XIV has appointed His Excellency the Most Rev. Louie P. Galbines, D. D., until now Bishop of Kabankalan as Bishop of the Diocese of Bacolod.

The appointment is being announced today in Vatican City, Thursday, May 14, 2026 @ 12 noon (6pm Phil.)

Purok Maanyag, Barangay Alijis

Last May 5, 2026, several of our brothers and sisters in Purok Maanyag lost their homes and belongings to a fire. As one parish family, let us extend our help.

WE ARE ACCEPTING:
In Cash: Any amount will go a long way for food, medicine, and rebuilding.

In Kind: Rice, canned goods, noodles, drinking water, blankets, toiletries, kitchen utensils, school supplies.

All donations received will be submitted to the Barangay Alijis Hall for fair and effective distribution to the fire victims.

Drop-off Point: Parish Office | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, except Tuesdays & Holidays

The Parish Youth Ministry of St. Jude Thaddeus together with the SMI, headed by Regine Vicera and guided by Angelica Corpuz, successfully shared a meaningful act of kindness and service to our hardworking jeepney drivers across Bacolod City.

Through this simple yet heartfelt outreach, we were able to bring smiles, hope, and appreciation to the drivers who tirelessly serve the community every single day. Their dedication and sacrifices inspire us to continue becoming instruments of love, compassion, and service to others.

May this activity remind everyone that even the smallest act of generosity can create a big impact in someone’s life. Padayon sa pagserbisyo kag pagpalangga sa isigkatawo!

With joyful hearts, we begin the first day of Flores de Mayo, a beautiful tradition dedicated to honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary through flowers, prayers, and acts of devotion. May this month draw us closer to God, deepen our faith, and guide us as we journey together under Mary’s gentle and loving care.

𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝟖:𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐌

Today, St. Jude Thaddeus Parish and Shrine held the Launching and Sending-Off Blessing for the Flores de Mayo during the 8:00 AM mass, presided over by our parish priest and rector, Very Rev. Fr. Joel Roquez.

With hearts full of faith and devotion, the catechists gathered in unity as they prepare to share the beauty of the Catholic faith and serve God through their love for the Blessed Virgin Mary.

In preparation of the Flores de Mayo, the Catechist Ministry conducted a four-day Mini Catechetical Instruction (Mini CI) last April 18 and 19, and April 25 and 26, 2026, at the parish hall. These meaningful formation sessions helped strengthen their faith and knowledge, equipping them for their role in this cherished Marian devotion.
