πŸ•ŠοΈ God Called. I Said Yes.
I will be honest β€” when I was asked to speak at PREX Talk 7 on God's Plan for the Church, my first feeling was not confidence. It was humility. And a little trembling.
But I showed up. At St. Christopher Parish in Bangar, La Union, before 13 PREX delegates who came with open hearts and hungry spirits β€” I stood up and shared what God laid on mine.
I didn't go there to impress. I went to be faithful. To expound on His Word, to stay humble, and to trust that He who called me would also carry me through. ✝️
And He did. πŸ’›
What made it even more special? My husband, Kuya Florante Badua, quietly set up the TV, HDMI, speaker, and laptop β€” no complaints, no applause needed, just love in action. He never asks for recognition. He just shows up and serves. That man is my blessing. ❀️
To the delegates, to St. Christopher Parish, to Bangar β€” salamat from the bottom of my heart. You gave me more than I gave you.
To God β€” all of this is Yours. Every word, every moment, every breath in that room. πŸ™βœ¨
"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
β€” Matthew 5:16
With Rev. Fr. Noel Lazo, Kuya Bert and Ate Angie, Ate Belen , Ate Venus, Kuya Melvin, and all our Kuyas and Ates syaff and delegates. Congratulations to all!

🏑 Salt at the Table, Light in the Home

There's a reason Jesus used salt as His first metaphor.

Salt doesn't just add taste β€” it preserves. It protects. It brings out what's already there.

That's the role we play in our families. πŸ’›

As a parent, a spouse, a child β€” we season our home with love, laughter, patience, and faith. We preserve the good. We bring out the best in the people around us.

And our homes? They're the first place where our light must shine. Before the world sees it β€” our family does.

Let's be intentional today about the flavor and glow we bring into our households. πŸ™

To my family β€” thank you for being my light too. πŸ•―οΈ

Today's Gospel hit me deep. πŸ₯Ή

A poor widow quietly dropped her last two coins into the offering box. Jesus didn't notice the rich who gave big. He noticed HER.

Because she gave everything β€” not from what was left over, but from what she needed to live.

That's exactly what family is.

Nanay cooking at 5am even when she's tired. Tatay working double shifts without complaint. You staying up to help a child with homework even after a long day.

No applause. No audience. Just pure, quiet love given fully.

Don't be discouraged if no one sees your sacrifice at home. God sees it. And it is MORE than enough.

To every parent, spouse, and caregiver giving their "two coins" every single day β€” you are seen. You are valued. You are loved. ❀️

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Dear families β€” today's Gospel is for you.

Bartimaeus was blind, alone, and on the margins. But when Jesus passed by, he didn't hold back. He called out from the deepest place in his heart: "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"

In our families, there are moments when we feel exactly like Bartimaeus β€” unseen, unheard, struggling in the dark.

But here's the beautiful truth: Jesus STOPS for us.

He stopped for one blind beggar on a dusty road. He will stop for your marriage. For your child who is struggling. For your home that needs healing.

Reflect together as a family today:
πŸ•― What do we need Jesus to heal in our home?
πŸ•― Are we bold enough to ask?

"Go, your faith has healed you." β€” and immediately he received his sight.

May our families receive sight β€” to see each other with love, to see God in our daily lives, and to follow Him on the way.

On May 26, 2026, the Ministry of Family and Life of St. Michael the Archangel Parish conducted a Pre-Cana 101 Seminar at the parish hall for two couples preparing for the Sacrament of Matrimony.

With grateful hearts, we thank our facilitators: Bro. Florante and Sis. Ilene Badua, Bro. Ruben Ramos, Bro. Pablo and Sis. Puring Gabuya, together with our trainee facilitators Bro. Art and Sis. Pia Fernandez, for sharing their time, wisdom, and testimonies on Christian family life.

We also extend our appreciation to Sis. Rabina for her support and assistance in making the activity meaningful and organized.

Special thanks to our parish priest, Rev. Fr. Victor De Guzman, for his guidance and support to the Family and Life Ministry as we continue to journey with couples toward a Christ-centered marriage.

May God bless all the couples as they prepare to enter the sacred vocation of married life with faith, love, and commitment. πŸ™β€οΈ

On May 24, 2026, during Pentecost Sunday, we were blessed to attend the Holy Mass at Santuario de San Roque Chapel.

With grateful hearts, we offered our prayers and love offering in thanksgiving for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, safe travels, and the meaningful fellowship experienced during the Lions State Convention in Subic.

May the fire of the Holy Spirit continue to strengthen our faith, guide our service to others, and inspire us to become instruments of love, unity, and compassion wherever we go.

"Whoever wishes to become great among you must be your servant." β€” Mk 10:43
The most beautiful act of service doesn't happen on a stage β€” it happens at home. 🏠❀️

A parent waking up at 3am. A spouse choosing patience over pride. A sibling giving up their turn. A lolo or lola praying in the quiet dark.

This is what today's gospel looks like lived out in the family.

Jesus didn't serve with an audience. He served because love demanded it. And in our families, we are called to the same radical, ordinary, beautiful service β€” day after day.

To every parent, every spouse, every caregiver reading this: your quiet service is seen by God. You are already great in His kingdom.

Keep going. Your family is your mission field. πŸ™πŸ’œ

The family that is ONE in love reflects the heart of God. πŸ’’

In today's Gospel (John 17:20-26), Jesus prays for unity β€” the same unity that begins at home. A family rooted in love, in faith, and in God is a living witness to the world.

To every couple, every parent, every family β€” your home is a domestic church. Your love for one another is a prayer in itself. πŸ™β€οΈ
Don't give up on each other. Keep choosing love. Keep choosing God. The grace is there β€” trust it.

"That the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them." β€” John 17:26
