False Christians.
2 Timothy 3:3–5 (NLT)
3They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.
4They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.
5They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
2 Timothy 3:13 (NLT)
13But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived.
One of the most difficult things to accept as a Christian is the concept of false Christianity. We must, however, face the fact that even as there are false teachers, there are also false churches and false Christians. It is even more challenging to accept the fact that these “impostors” will “flourish” in this world. In these days that we live in, so close to the great tribulation in which the false prophet and the false church become such a part of the political empire of the Antichrist, we must, however, recognize the growing presence and influence of this false church. Understanding these “impostors” who “act religious” yet who reject the “power” that would change their lives AND “STAYING FROM” THEM will spare us much pain in life.
