Back in 1997, a Korean mission team came to the Philippines for a short-term mission and they served in Bohol. At that time, the Miracle Church building we know today was still unfinished.
One day, they decided to hold an outdoor service. It had rained heavily the day before, leaving the electrical system wet. Unaware that the wires were still connected to power, Pastor David Jung began wiping them. Suddenly, he was electrocuted and collapsed. With water covering the ground, his life was in serious dangerโbut someone quickly pulled the plug. When he was brought to the hospital, the doctor told him, "It is a miracle that you are alive," considering the severity of the shock.
That same day, he stood before the villagers and shared his experience. He spoke about how he nearly died but was spared, and boldly declared, "This church will become a miracle church that will save many lives in the future." At that time, affirmed this and officially named it "Miracle Church of the Nazarene."

And from all of us who are now members of the congregation, we are truly thankful for the faith and dedication of those who started this journey. Because of that, a church was not only built, but a mission was born.
Today, as we look at Miracle Church, we do not just see a buildingโwe see a living testimony of God's power to turn near tragedy into lasting purpose. From its humble beginnings to the thriving community it has become, we are reminded that every step of its history has been guided by His hand.
With grateful hearts, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to the future, believing that the same God who performed a miracle then continues to work miracles now through this church and its people.
