LOOK: San Jose de Malibago Parish Brings the Church to the Community Through Its Fourth Pastoral Visit

As part of the pastoral mission of Rev. Fr. Arnold A. Aurelio, Parish Priest of San Jose de Malibago Parish, the parish once again reached out to our beloved kalagsan through the fourth community visit, bringing prayer, reflection, and the Word of God into their homes. Together with the Commission on Social Action and the Commission on Youth, moments of prayer were shared along with the reading of the Gospel for March 8, 2026 (John 4:5–42), reflecting on Christ as the living water who renews and sustains our faith.

This simple yet meaningful encounter reminds us that the mission of the Church goes beyond the walls of the parish. By visiting and praying with our elders, the parish continues to affirm that every member of the community remains a valued and cherished part of the Church’s journey of faith.

SATURDAY DEVOTION TO ST. PEDRO CALUNGSOD

In a spirit of faith and devotion, the youth ministers of San Jose de Malibago Parish together with the youth ministers from the different youth chapels of the parish gathered for the Saturday Devotion to St. Pedro Calungsod, the patron saint of the Filipino youth. The gathering was a solemn moment of prayer and reflection, inviting the young faithful to deepen their relationship with God and renew their commitment to living out their faith.

Through this devotion, the youth reflected on the life and witness of St. Pedro Calungsod, whose courage, humility, and steadfast faith continue to inspire Filipino youth today. As a young catechist who faithfully served the mission of the Church, his example reminds the youth that holiness and dedication to God can be lived even at a young age.

May the prayers offered and the reflections shared during this devotion continue to guide the youth of San Jose de Malibago Parish as they strive to follow the path of faith, service, and love for God and His people, inspired by the life and intercession of St. Pedro Calungsod.

LOOK: San Jose de Malibago Parish Brings the Church to the Community Through Its Third Pastoral Visit

The Commission on Youth of San Jose de Malibago Parish continues its mission of bringing the warmth and presence of the Church to our beloved kalagsan through another home visit. In this third pastoral encounter, the youth shared moments of prayer, reflection on the Word of God, and simple conversations that uplift the spirit of our elderly brothers and sisters.

Through these humble visits, the youth express their commitment to serve with compassion and respect. It is a reminder that faith is not only practiced within the walls of the Church but is also lived out through sincere acts of care, presence, and love for one another.

LOOK: San Jose de Malibago Parish Brings the Church to the Community Through Its Second Pastoral Visit

On February 08, 2026, San Jose de Malibago Parish continued its pastoral mission of reaching out to our beloved elders who, due to age, illness, or physical limitations, are unable to regularly attend Mass and parish gatherings. Through this second pastoral visit, the Church brought moments of prayer, Gospel sharing, and sincere conversation into their homes.

This pastoral initiative is carried out under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Arnold A. Aurelio, Parish Priest of San Jose de Malibago Parish, together with the Commission on Social Action, Commission on Worship, and the Commission on Youth. United in service, they visit the homes of our elders to offer spiritual encouragement, companionship, and a reminder that they remain a cherished part of the parish community.

Reflecting on the Gospel (Matthew 5:13–16), Jesus reminds us that we are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. In many ways, our elders embody this message, as their lives of faith, sacrifice, and devotion continue to inspire the community.

Through this apostolate, the parish affirms that the Church is not only a place we gather but a family that journeys together in faith, bringing God’s love, hope, and care to every home.

LOOK: San Jose de Malibago Parish Brings the Church to the Community

In line with its mission to serve and uplift every member of the community, San Jose de Malibago Parish recently took meaningful steps to reach out directly to our "kalagsan", the elders whose lives are living testimonies of faith, perseverance and devotion.

This pastoral initiative was led by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Arnold A. Aurelio, in coordination with the Commission on Social Action and the Commission on Youth. Together, they visited the homes of the elderly, offering small acts of assistance, prayers, reading of the Gospel and heartfelt conversations. The outreach nurtured spiritual strength, offered encouragement and reminded everyone that each member of the community is valued and remembered by the Church.

More than a simple visit, the activity became a true ministry of presence. It showed that the Church is not just a place to gather but also a source of care, companionship and guidance. It reached even those who may no longer be able to attend regular parish activities, creating moments to listen, share and walk alongside the elders, ensuring they feel included, loved and spiritually supported.

Siring paman: “Kun dire kamo makakadto simbahan, an simbahan an amon dadad-on ha iyo.” A reminder that wherever you are, the Church is always with you, bringing faith, hope and love into every home.

After a spirit-filled start to the day, the evening brought even more energy and connection. 💫

We began with a Holy Mass to give thanks and offer our journey to God. Right after, we lit up the night with a powerful Torch Parade, filled with cheers and yells as we made our way to the main venue. 🔥🙌

Every barangay showed their pride and unity with energetic yell presentations, followed by special performances that brought smiles, cheers, and even goosebumps. 🎭🎶

We ended the night on a joyful note with our much-awaited Youth Night—a time to laugh, bond, and just enjoy each other's company. 💃🕺 The disco party lit up the night with music, dancing, and memories we won’t forget.

✨ 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟭 – 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝟭 | Morning to Noon Highlights 🌞

Our journey began with hearts full of excitement and purpose. 🙌 We started the day with registration and a meaningful Bible Enthronement, a powerful reminder that Christ walks with us every step of the way.

We were deeply inspired by the words of Ms. Sheryl Maraya, Principal of Malibago National High School, who reminded us of our role as young leaders and hopeful changemakers. 💬❤️

Afterwards, we moved into our track sessions, where we started reflecting on our theme:
🌿 “Youth Pilgrims of Hope, A Journey of Transformation” 🌿

Each moment today reminded us that this isn’t just an event, it’s a pilgrimage of the heart.

🙏 Hope was ignited. Hearts were awakened. The journey has truly begun.
