It is a great tragedy when someone who has preached or taught the truths of God to others falls into some great sin and destroys his ministry and his reputation. It is worse still because it can be an excuse for many to reject the truth. When in bo***ge to sin and under the curse of the Law, we had much to fear. Those who base their salvation on keeping the Law must keep it perfectly, but no one can. Judgment loomed over us every moment, and if we were not afraid, it was only because of our ignorance of the danger we were in. But Jesus "drank our Hell" and quenched God's fiery wrath against us, so that there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.
