2 Timothy 1:7 says:

Not all facts are truth. Many of the thoughts we entertain are negative, and countless people are trapped in the prison of overthinkingโthe endless cycle of โwhat ifโs.โ A positive life is impossible with a negative mindset. What consumes your thoughts will eventually control your mind.
Do not allow anxiety to control your thoughts. Do not allow anxiety to control your mind. Instead, allow the Holy Spirit to govern your decisions. You cannot control what comes into your mind, but you can control what stays in it. Overthinking will limit your purpose.
Even the strongest person can be controlled by their mind. Even the most beautiful woman can still feel ugly. Even the smartest person can feel insecure. Even the most talented and gifted individual can be bound when Satan plants anxious thoughts in the heart. No matter how great you are, if your mind is tied down by fear, you will be limited in your purpose.
Remember Moses. Before he obeyed God, he said two statements: โWhat if they donโt believe me?โ Even before starting, he believed the worst-case scenario. Many of us do the same: โWhat if I fail? What if Iโm rejected? What if I donโt have enough? What if I canโt survive? What if no one listens to me?โ Overthinking always paints disaster before the journey even begins.
But God reminds us: He has not given us a spirit of fear. He has given us power to overcome, love to endure, and a sound mind to discern.
Guard your thoughts. Let the Holy Spirit lead your mind. Fear and anxiety may knock at the door, but you decide what stays inside. A renewed mind in Christ is the key to living out your God-given purpose. ๐ค
