Friends, brothers, and sisters in Christ, we are pleased to invite you to join our Holy Week Celebration this year. As we remember the suffering and sacrifices of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we are also reminded of God's unfailing grace and forgiveness towards us.

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
As we walk towards the journey Christ has tread, we will remember how He showed his lavish love for us.

As we journey on Good Friday, we will hear the 7 Last words of love, assurance, forgiveness, and total surrender. We will hear the voices echoing as Jesus takes the final victory on the cross destroying the power of death and sin.

May this sacred day inspire reflection on our actions and relationships, encouraging compassion, sacrifice, and unity in service to others and our community. Let this day deepen our faith, strengthen our fellowship, and guide us in the spirit of servant leadership.

Easter is a new start for all of us who journey together in grace as the Body of Christ, for it is the good news that binds us together and empowers us to continue on the path set before us. When we embrace the new start, we taste life differently. We experience joy differently because Easter has come, and we live in that new reality. So, join us at the starting line. The journey of living begins again with joy and hope.

Have a blessed Holy Week! God bless our journey!

As we walk towards the journey Christ has tread, we will remember how He showed his lavish love for us.

In this Holy Thursday, we will be washing others' feet as a sign of our humility and our desire to follow Jesus steps as a way of serving. This not only signifies an outward act of humility but a deeper sense of willingness to serve others in the best way we can. We remember the Last Supper, when Jesus shared bread and wine with His disciples, teaching the true essence of love, humility, and service (Matthew 26:26-27). May this sacred day inspire reflection on our actions and relationships, encouraging compassion, sacrifice, and unity in service to others and our community. Let this day deepen our faith, strengthen our fellowship, and guide us in the spirit of servant leadership.

Ash Wednesday Service

Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent, a time when many Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline. Through the service of ashes on the first day of Lent, we come before God recognizing our humanity, repenting of our sin, and remembering who we are and who we can be. Join us on February 18, 2026, 5:00 AM at The Bukig UMC.

We will be serving coffee and bread. All are welcome!

It's a blessed day!!
As you attain the age of 35 Pastor Oliver Colosaga Caliva, may God continue to increase your knowledge and wisdom. May He also grant you good health and strength to deliver His words to the people. We pray that the good Lord continue to give you victory over your enemies. They shall never succeed in their plot to lure you away from the path of life that you have chosen. The whole congregation will continue to follow the light you have shown. You are a blessing not only to us but to the coming generations. And of course, may the Lord's blessings continue to be with you and your family.
Have birthday Pastor!! Cheers to another fruitful year!! 🥳🥳🥳🙏🙏🙏

Bukig UMC Celebrates OFW/Migrant's Sunday

We are so blessed to have a former OFW to share with us the reality of experiences and struggles of every workers abroad. Sister Remilyn Bumatay Villon testified that her faith in God made her strong in times of uncertainties of being abroad only to provide good future for her family. She emphasized that having faith and trust in God is the most powerful weapon against hearthaches, oppression, discomfort and even deppresion. Through God's guidance and deliverance she was able to overcome years of difficulties and painful experiences. Her Message not only inspired members of our church but most importantly to our beloved OFW and Migrants who are still struggling from discrimination, oppression and prejudices. May God continue to give you strength and power to overcome all life's trial and circumstances as you pursue your goal for your familyand life as well.

Thank you so much sister Remilyn for your life testimony. May God bless you and your whole family.

Thank you so much our beloved brother and sister abroad. May this small token inspire your family to appreciate every little and big effort you bring to them as you sacrifice your life for them.

Bukig UMC
4th Morning Watch

God's Message through ma'am Cherryl Mariann R. Concepcion this morning assures us that eternal life is the greatest gift God has given to everyone who accepts it. Our celebration of Christ birth and second coming helps us understand the purpose of His coming to us - to give us eternal life. Christ is the gate keeper that welcomes whoever believes in Him into the eternal Kingdom of God. We are then called to be steadfast in our faith despite of many struggles, pain and circumstances in life.

The Message was explained using the Acronym of FLLOD CONTROL

F- aith is not a figure
L- ove that gives
O- nly Son (not optional)
O- ffer to everyone (whoever believes in Him)
D- eliverance from perishing (shall not perish/salvation from punishment)

C- hrist (he controls the gate for those who can enter heaven)
O- bedience as a response (transformation)
N- OW (Not later)
T- rust in God's finishing work (He gave)
R- elationship (In Him)
O- outpouring of Grace (for Godmso loved)
L- ife that never ends.

If God has given us His only son for our salvation, What then can we give in response. May this message inspires us to finish the faith that we have started. Christ love for us is the only Flood Control (control us from sinning, doubting and seperating ourselves from him) that SAVES!
