LOOK | TAMS Seminarians celebrate with the MC Sisters on their Society’s Feast Day

The seminarians of the Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary attended Missionaries of Charity Society’s feast day yesterday, August 22, on the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Highlighting the celebration was the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass where the MC Sisters’ had their Renewal of Vows. It was presided over by Rev. Fr. Ronald B. Addatu, TAMS Spiritual Director, who also serves as the Chaplain of the MC sisters.

The Missionaries of Charity is religious congregation founded by Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta. They are dedicated to missionary works serving and living with the ‘poorest of the poor’.

Prayer for deliverance from calamities

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Loving Father, Creator and Lord of the Universe,
your providence sustains the foundation of the earth and your Wisdom guides the courses of nature.

We humbly implore you to spare us
from the imminent threat of the typhoon,
to keep us safe from all dangers,
and to calm all the storms of life
that threaten each of us.
May we be secure in your loving hands,
seek your Will in all our experiences,
and serve you as stewards of your creation
with grateful hearts.

O Virgin Mary, Our Mother, intercede for us;
and embrace us with your mantle of love
and shield us from all calamities.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord.
Amen.
