It doesn’t matter who is the senior, everyone is called to serve at the Table of the Lord with the same heart of humility and devotion. In the sanctuary, our titles and years of experience take a backseat to our shared mission, to assist the priest and lead the congregation in prayer.

True leadership isn't about who has served the longest, but about who serves with the most love. Whether it’s your first day or years you served, we are all united as brothers and sisters in Christ.

MOVABLE FEASTS

The tradition of proclaiming the date of Easter and the other movable feasts on the Solemnity of the Epiphany began at a time when calendars were not easily available. It was important to announce the date of Easter in advance, because many celebrations in the liturgical year—such as the Sundays after Epiphany, Ash Wednesday, and the Sundays following Pentecost—are determined in relation to Easter.

Although modern calendars now provide the dates of Easter and the other feasts for many years ahead, the Epiphany proclamation remains meaningful. It reminds the faithful of the central place of the Lord’s resurrection in the liturgical year and of the great mysteries of faith celebrated throughout the Church’s yearly cycle.

Each year, the proper dates for Ash Wednesday, Easter, Ascension, Pentecost, the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, and the First Sunday of Advent are inserted into the proclamation. These dates are found in the table included in the introductory documents of the Roman Missal.

10 SERIOUS SINS THAT REQUIRE CONFESSION BEFORE RECEIVING HOLY COMMUNION

A serious (mortal) sin involves grave matter, knowing it is wrong, and freely choosing it (CCC 1857).

➞ Deliberately missing Sunday or Holy Day Mass without a serious reason
➞ Receiving Holy Communion while aware of serious sin
➞ Sexual activity outside a valid sacramental marriage
➞ Use of sexually explicit content
➞ Deliberate sexual acts outside their proper purpose
➞ Living together as spouses without a valid Church marriage
➞ Use of birth-prevention methods with knowledge of Church teaching
➞ Holding deep resentment or wishing grave harm on another
➞ Serious dishonesty or habitual lying that harms others
➞ Ongoing grave pride, greed, or envy that causes real harm

Scripture warns us:
“Whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will be guilty of profaning the Body and Blood of the Lord” (1 Cor 11:27). If you are aware of serious sin, go to Confession first. Confession restores grace. The Eucharist strengthens those who are already living in grace.

On December 8, 2025, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Knights of the Blessed Sacrament conducted an examination of members at St. Peter the Apostle Parish.

The assessment covered the following areas:
• Vestments and Sacred Vessels
• Liturgical Colors
• The Rule Book of the Knights
• The Ten Commandments
• Prayers and Devotional Practices

We extend our sincere appreciation to all members who took part in this evaluation with diligence and respect, as well as to the formators who continue to guide our knights in their service to the Church and to Our Eucharistic Lord.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary strengthen us in purity, discipline, and unwavering fidelity to our mission.

A blessed celebration as we formally welcomed our new Chapel Pastoral Council. The Mass was presided by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Marcelino B. Mandap, who reminded us of the mission of service, unity, and stewardship in our community.

May the Holy Spirit guide our newly installed council as they lead with faith and dedication.
