A leading figure in the exorcism ministry on Wednesday lamented the disappearance of family altars and what he described as a decline in communal rosary prayer inside Catholic homes.

Our five Antiqueño seminarians who will undergo the formation in the Propaedeutic Discernment Year, together with their brothers from different dioceses, were formally welcomed into the St. Joseph Regional Seminary community during its Annual Excursion.

This meaningful occasion marked the beginning of their journey in seminary formation, as they became part of a community united in fraternity, prayer, and the shared pursuit of God’s call.

May the Lord continue to guide and strengthen these young men as they discern their vocation, deepen their faith, and grow in love and service to His Church.

The Antique Diocesan Seminarians welcomed the arrival of five seminarians who will begin their formation in the Propaedeutic Discernment Year (PDY) for the incoming formation year.

With their arrival, the Diocese of San Jose de Antique now has a total of eighteen seminarians in formation, from PDY to Fourth Year Theology. This reflects the continued response of young men to God's call and the Diocese's commitment to nurturing priestly vocations.

As they begin this new chapter, may the Lord guide them in their journey of discernment, formation, and service.

A day of encounter, fraternity, and inspiration!

Our incoming Grade 11 and Pre- College seminarians were blessed to visit the
ST. JOSEPH REGIONAL SEMINARY - GRADUATE SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY and spend time with their ADSEMS brothers who are continuing their formation toward the priesthood. This meaningful gathering provided them with a glimpse of seminary life at the theological level and strengthened the bonds of brotherhood that unite us in one vocation journey.

May this experience encourage our young seminarians to persevere in their discernment and deepen their commitment to God's call. Let us continue to pray for one another as we walk together in faith, formation, and service to the Church.

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗜𝗚𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗦 |

As the new academic year 2026–2027 approaches, the Configuration Stage seminarians from all levels, from PDY to Pre-Deacon, gathered in fraternity and thanksgiving with our beloved Bishop Most Rev. Marvyn Abrea Maceda, D.D. before returning to the seminary and proceeding to their respective pastoral assignments.

The gathering commenced with the celebration of Evening Prayer, followed by a grace-filled Dinner with the Bishop together with many priests of the Diocese. A meaningful Conference was also held, where the Bishop shared words of guidance, encouragement, and pastoral wisdom for the continuing journey of formation and ministry. The seminarians likewise shared a few words of reflection, gratitude, and experiences from their journey of formation.

The occasion became more joyful as the community celebrated the 30th Sacerdotal Anniversary of our Bishop, giving thanks to God for his faithful and dedicated years of priestly service to the Church and the People of God.

May this gathering strengthen the seminarians in their vocation, deepen their commitment to formation, and inspire them to faithfully follow Christ in service to the Church.
