From the loudest screams to the silent cries, we can all relate to the feeling of hurt. Pain demands to be felt.
๐ฝ๐ช๐ฉ ๐จ๐ค ๐๐ค๐๐จ ๐๐ค๐ฅ๐.
For the longest time, I grew up believing that God only answers our prayers when we see positive results. But what I failed to understand was that God answers our prayers first when He meets us where we are.
The Bible is packed with so many stories of people who have their fair share of struggles: Moses, out of his anger, killed someone; Job lost everything he owned and the people he loved through theft, murder, and natural disaster; Elijah became depressed; Joseph was betrayed by his brothers; King David fell to adultery; Hannah thought she wouldnโt conceive a child; Habakkuk trembled in fear and Paul was deserted by his brothers in the faith.
Perhaps, in one form or the other, weโve been there. We may have experienced pain that does not want to leave. We may have experienced heart aches and memories brought by bad experiences that are unbearable and unforgettable. We may have experienced health conditions that are incurable or maybe, we know people who have these and we have subconsciously carried their burdens.
Beloved, where pain dwells, God can dwell and reign there too. Jesus says, โMy grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).โ
This Grace that Jesus speaks of does not always promise victory but it promises enduring presence. This Grace that Jesus speaks of does not always guarantee change in situations but it proves the consistency of Godโs unchanging character. This Grace that Jesus speaks of never fails to meet us where we are. His Grace changes everything.
This is my prayer: I pray that you will learn to trust the Lord with all your heart and depend on Him more than your own strength, wisdom and resources. I may not know what youโre going through but I trust that the Lord does.
If you know the end stories of the Bible characters above, you can be encouraged in His promises, in His love, in His care and protection.
If not, kindly read on:
Moses, though he murdered someone, was still used by God to lead the Israelites out of Egypt.
Job, though he lost everything he had, God still gave everything back twice as much as he had before.
Elijah, though he was depressed and wanted to die, was given rest, food and water.
Joseph, though he was betrayed, became the Governor of Egypt and still helped his brothers.
King David, though he was a sinner, still holds the title, โA man after Godโs own heartโ.
Hannah, though she was hurting, gave birth to a baby boy who turned Israelโs history.
Habakkuk, though he trembled in fear, still praised God for he understood Godโs plan.
And Paul, though he faced persecution and betrayal, still fought the good fight, finished the race and he certainly kept the faith.
Kaya ikaw? Laban lang. Your battles are not yours, theyโre His. Walang hinuli ang Diyos sa mga taong inuuna Siya. โค๏ธ
