Defying every challenge that came our way today—school and work schedules, forecast of an approaching typhoon, and a looong day ahead—but by God's grace, we made it!

What a blessing it was to be part of the Closing of the Pilgrimage Season at the International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage.

Our hearts are filled with gratitude as we witnessed thousands of devotees united in faith, love, and devotion to our Blessed Mother. Despite the forecast of bad weather, God granted us a beautiful day, reminding us once again that His grace is always enough.

To God be all the glory for another successful Pilgrimage Season!

The fiesta may be over, but we're still not over it! 💙

We're still reliving every unforgettable moments from our KANA FESTIVAL and the Novena Masses in honor of our beloved Patroness, the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

A huge shoutout and heartfelt THANK YOU to all the SOCOM members of the parishes, both within and beyond the Vicariate of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, who generously shared their time, talents, and media ministry to help capture every beautiful moment of our celebration. Because of you, these memories will continue to inspire and bring joy to so many people.

Earlier today during the 10:30 AM Sunday Mass, we reflect on Christ’s Ascension, we are reminded of His mission entrusted to all of us: To proclaim the Good News with faith, truth, and love.

During the celebration, the PIHM Social Communications and Mass Media Ministry shared the message of Pope Leo XIV for this year’s World Communications Sunday, reminding communicators and digital missionaries of the responsibility and moral consistency to communicate the truth with clarity and purpose, to remain faithful to God, the Church, and the mission of authentic evangelization, and to always be loyal to the truth.

This also became a meaningful opportunity to invite our parishioners who feel called to serve through media and communications to become part of the ministry and help spread God’s message through their talents and creativity.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. Jhun Meneses, our Parish Priest, for the token of appreciation given to our SOCOM members. A beautiful reminder to continue serving with humility, dedication, and holiness inspired by our patron saint, St. Carlo Acutis.

May we continue to become instruments of truth, hope, and evangelization in today’s digital world.

MAY 17, 2026 | 60TH WORLD COMMUNICATIONS SUNDAY

Today, as we celebrate World Communications Sunday, we are reminded that communication is more than simply posting, sharing, or creating content online. It is about bringing truth, hope, kindness, and the love of Christ to others.

Pope Leo XIV reminds us that in a world filled with AI, fake news, negativity, and distractions, we are called to remain human in the way we communicate — to be honest, compassionate, respectful, and Christ-centered in everything we say and share online. Technology is a gift, but it should never replace our ability to think wisely, seek truth, and genuinely connect with people.

As Cybermissionaries, we are called not to spread hate, division, or misinformation, but to use social media as a tool for evangelization — inspiring hope, building community, and leading others closer to Jesus. Behind every screen is a real person loved by God, and every post, comment, photo, or message has the power to either hurt or heal.

As we also celebrate the Ascension of the Lord, we are reminded of Christ’s mission to “go and make disciples of all nations.” Today, this mission continues not only in our homes and communities, but also in the digital world. Through responsible and faith-filled communication, we become modern-day disciples sharing the GOOD NEWS wherever people may be — even online.

Let us also pray for our Parish Cybermissionaries, PIHM Social Communications and Mass Media Ministry, that they may continue to faithfully bring the GOOD NEWS to our community with wisdom, creativity, and hearts centered on God.
