Sin does not merely expose human weakness; it reveals the depth of our rebellion. Yet the answer is not found in human resolve, but in divine intervention. Grace does not rise in proportion to our worth, but in defiance of our unworthiness. It overflows not because sin is small, but because God’s mercy is immeasurably great.

The increase of sin does not threaten the triumph of grace. It magnifies it. For in the presence of our greatest guilt, God displays the surpassing riches of His grace in Christ, securing what we could never attain and sustaining what we could never keep.

But this is no license to return to the very sin from which we are delivered. The same grace that abounds also transforms. We are not freed to sin without fear, but freed to walk in newness of life, no longer under sin’s dominion, but under grace.

Each dawn is not a mere turning of the earth, but a fresh declaration of God’s unwavering mercy. The light does not rise by chance, but by His sovereign will, reminding us that His faithfulness has not faltered through the night.

This text does not offer sentimental comfort. It is a declaration grounded in the absolute sovereignty of God. The apostle does not say that some things, or even most things, work together for good. He says all things. That includes suffering, disappointment, and even the consequences of our own failures.

The promise is not that every event is good in itself, but that God, in His providence, orders every detail of our lives toward a good that He has defined. And that good is not chiefly our temporal happiness, but our conformity to Christ.

If even one molecule in this universe were outside of God’s control, this promise would collapse. But the God of Scripture governs all things according to the counsel of His will. Therefore, the believer’s confidence rests not in circumstance, but in the character and authority of God Himself.

April 26, 2026 | Lord’s Day 17

“Dahil Sa’Yo”
Romans 1:1 to 7

When we gather under the preaching of the gospel of Christ, God Himself is at work among His people. His call is heard, and His grace is truly received by those He calls.

We gather not because of anything in us, but because of Him. And through that same gospel, He continues to sustain us by His grace.

This is what marks us as a church, a people called by God and kept by His grace, all for the sake of His Name.

After the worship service, we also gathered for our church general assembly to present the financial statement of the recently concluded DVBS and to share the upcoming special events in the life of the church.

Come and join us every Lord’s Day as we gather in worship, sit under the preaching of the Word, and behold Christ, to whom we belong by grace alone.

Soli Deo Gloria!

Lord’s Day 17

“My steadfast love I will keep for him forever, and my covenant will stand firm for him. I will establish his line forever.” (Psalm 89:28–29)

Set apart for the gospel of God, promised beforehand through His prophets, and fulfilled in His Son—Jesus Christ our Lord. From eternity, God’s covenant purpose has been sure, now revealed in the good news that calls sinners into the obedience of faith among all nations.

Let us come together this Lord’s Day as one church to worship the living God, hear His Word proclaimed, and rejoice in Christ who calls us to Himself by grace.

May the Lord gather us in His mercy as we meet, Lord willing.

Crowning Day | DVBS 2026

Yesterday, we rejoiced as our Adventurers reached the end of their journey and were recognized for their diligence, participation, and growth. From memory verses to Christlike conduct, we thank God for each child and the grace shown in their lives throughout these days.

More than the awards, we thank God for the truth planted in their hearts, that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. These children were not only taught lessons, but were pointed to their greatest need, a Savior.

We also give thanks to the body of Christ, the church, who faithfully supported this ministry. From beginning to end, the Lord sustained this work through His people. What we lacked, He provided. The manual was prepared by our pastors and children’s ministry coordinators. The layout and activities were crafted by the tech team. Action song steps were created by our young leaders and teachers. When the needs were made known, the church responded with cheerful generosity, providing funds and goods, eggs, bananas, milk, rice, spaghetti, hotdogs, sticky rice, pizza, even down to the ribbons for the awardees on the final day, together with additional support for the children’s prizes from a pastor from another church.

We thank our pastors and coordinators for their guidance, the nanays who lovingly prepared meals and snacks, and the teachers who served with passion and patience. We are also grateful for our brothers and sisters from other churches who encouraged us, supported us in anyway possible, and most of all, prayed for this work. This being our first DVBS as a church, we have seen the Lord’s faithful hand in every detail.

Above all, we give thanks to God alone, to Him be all the glory.

Pray with us that the seeds sown will bear fruit in repentance and faith, and that these children will continue to grow in the knowledge of God and His grace.

This work among the children continues. Let us keep praying and laboring together. Children’s Ministry is every Saturday at 9am.

DVBS — Day 3
The Adventure Ends… Back Home
Luke 15:11–24

Today, our Adventurers reached the final part of the journey, where the story led them home. Through games and activities, they pieced together a picture of grace, a father running to embrace his lost son.

They heard the story of the Prodigal Son, a son who chose his own path, was lost because of sin, and found himself far from home. Yet when he turned back, the father did not reject him. He ran to him, embraced him, and restored him.

The children learned that our sin leads us away from God, but the call is to repent and return to Him. And more than that, we are not welcomed back because of our own goodness, but because of the grace given to us through Christ alone.

We thank God for bringing these children to the end of this journey, hearing that no matter how far we have gone, God’s mercy is greater, and His desire is to bring His children home.

“Sapagkat ang anak kong ito ay namatay na, ngunit siya ay nabuhay; nawala, ngunit natagpuan.” Luke 15:24

Pray with us that these children may truly repent, trust in Christ, and rest in the grace of God who brings sinners back home.

As this adventure ends, may its truth remain, the lost are brought home by grace alone, through Christ alone.

Join us today for their crowning day!

DVBS — Day 2
In the Middle of the Adventure… Unexpected Encounter
Luke 19:1–10

Today, our Adventurers continued the journey and discovered that every adventure has a turning point. Through games, searching, and even guiding one another through obstacles, the children experienced what it means to be known, sought, and led.

They met Zacchaeus, a man known as a sinner, yet personally called by name by Jesus. The children learned that just as Jesus knew Zacchaeus, He knows each one of us completely, even our sin. And more than that, Jesus did not wait to be found, He came to seek the lost.

In the story, Jesus intentionally went to Zacchaeus, and in that encounter, we saw joy, repentance, and salvation. The children were reminded that if Jesus did not seek us, we would remain lost, without joy, without repentance, and without hope.

We thank God for bringing these children again to hear His Word, that they may see that salvation is found in Christ alone.

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10

Pray with us that these children may truly know that Jesus knows them, seeks them, and saves sinners like them, and that they would respond in repentance and faith in Christ alone.

Join us for the remaining days as we continue the adventure, from being found to being brought home.
