PAGHARAP SA KABIGUAN
Basahin: 1 CRONICA 28:2
- 1 CRONICA 28:2

DEALING WITH DISAPPOINTMENT
TODAYโ€™S BIBLE READING: 1 CHRONICLES 28:2-3, 6-12
I had it in my heart to build a house โ€ฆ for the ark of the covenant. [ 1 CHRONICLES 28:2 ]
After raising money all year for a โ€œtrip of a lifetime,โ€ seniors from an Oklahoma high school arrived at the airport to learn that many of them had purchased tickets from a bogus company posing as an airline. โ€œItโ€™s heartbreaking,โ€ one school administrator said. Yet, even though they had to change their plans, the students decided to โ€œmake the most of it.โ€ They enjoyed two days at nearby attractions, which donated the tickets.
Dealing with failed or changed plans can be disappointing or even heartbreaking. Especially when weโ€™ve invested time, money, or emotion into the planning. King David โ€œhad it in [his] heart to buildโ€ a temple for God (1 CHRONICLES 28:2), but God told him: โ€œYou are not to build a house for my Name โ€ฆ Solomon your son is the one who will build my houseโ€ (VV. 3, 6). David didnโ€™t despair.
He praised God for choosing him to be king over Israel, and he gave the plans for the temple to Solomon to complete (VV. 11-13). As he did, he encouraged him: โ€œBe strong and courageous, and do the work โ€ฆ for the Lord God โ€ฆ is with youโ€ (V. 20).
When our plans fall through, no matter the reason, we can bring our disappointment to God who โ€œcares for [us]โ€ (1 PETER 5:7). He will help us handle our disappointment with grace. ALYSON KIEDA
When have you put a lot into plans that then fell through? What helped you to deal with your disappointment?
Dear God, thank You that Your promises and plans never fail. Please help me when mine do.

PATULOY NA UMAASA
Basahin: SALMO 22:14

HUMBLED BUT HOPEFUL
TODAYโ€™S BIBLE READING: PSALM 22:14-24
In the assembly I will praise you. [ PSALM 22:22 ]
At the pastorโ€™s invitation at the end of the church service, Latriece made her way to the front. When she was invited to greet the congregation, no one was prepared for the weighty and wonderful words she spoke. She had relocated from Kentucky where in December 2021 devastating tornadoes had taken the lives of seven of her family members. โ€œI can still smile because Godโ€™s with me,โ€ she said. Though bruised by trial, her testimony was a powerful encouragement for those facing challenges of their own.
Davidโ€™s words in Psalm 22 (which point to the sufferings of Jesus) are those of a battered man who felt forsaken by God (V. 1), despised and mocked by others (VV. 6-8), and surrounded by predators (VV. 12-13). He felt weak and drained (VV. 14-18)-but he wasnโ€™t hopeless. โ€œBut you, Lord, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help meโ€ (V. 19). Your present challenge-though likely not of the same variety as Davidโ€™s or Latrieceโ€™s-is just as real. And the words of verse 24 are just as meaningful: โ€œHe has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; โ€ฆ but has listened to his cry for help.โ€ And when we experience Godโ€™s help, letโ€™s declare His goodness so others can hear of it (V. 22). ARTHUR JACKSON
What are the benefits of sharing stories of Godโ€™s kindness with others? Why is it vital to fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ?
Heavenly Father, I bring my feelings of helplessness to You. Breathe fresh hope into my heart and help me praise Your name.

PAMBIHIRANG KAIBIGAN
Basahin: JUAN 11:25

WHAT A FRIEND
TODAYโ€™S BIBLE READING: JOHN 11:25-36
Then the Jews said, โ€œSee how he loved him!โ€ [ JOHN 11:36 ]
It had been a few years since my longtime friend and I had seen one another. During that time, heโ€™d received a cancer diagnosis and started treatments. An unexpected trip to his state afforded me the chance to see him again. I walked into the restaurant, and tears filled both of our eyes. Itโ€™d been too long since weโ€™d been in the same room, and now death crouched in the corner reminding us of the brevity of life. The tears in our eyes sprang from a long friendship filled with adventures and antics and laughter and loss-and love. So much love that it spilled out from the corners of our eyes at the sight of one another.
Jesus wept too. Johnโ€™s gospel records that moment, after the Jews said, โ€œCome and see, Lordโ€ (11:34), and Jesus stood before the tomb of His good friend Lazarus. Then we read those two words that reveal to us the depths to which Christ shares our humanity: โ€œJesus weptโ€ (V. 35). Was there much going on in that moment, things that John did and didnโ€™t record? Yes. Yet I also believe the reaction of the Jews to Jesus is telling: โ€œSee how he loved him!โ€ (V. 36). That line is more than sufficient grounds for us to stop and worship the Friend who knows our every weakness. Jesus was flesh and blood and tears. Jesus is the Savior who loves and understands. JOHN BLASE
When did you last consider the humanity of Jesus? How does knowing that Jesus understands and shares your tears encourage you today?
Dear Jesus, thank You for being the One who saves and for also being the One who shares my tears.

๐ŸŒฟ WHEN WE MAKE MISTAKES, GOD MAKES A WAY ๐ŸŒฟ

๐Ÿ“– Leviticus 4โ€“6

As mothers, we sometimes carry the pressure to do everything rightโ€”to be patient all the time, speak the right words, make the right decisions, and never fail.

But Leviticus 4โ€“6 reminds us of something beautiful:

God knows that human beings make mistakes. Yet He also calls us to take responsibility for them.

The sin offerings in Leviticus show us that even unintentional sins mattered before a holy God. Whether the person was a priest, a leader, or an ordinary member of the community, there was a way to come before God and seek forgiveness.

And what is even more beautiful? God made a way for everyoneโ€”even those who had very little.

๐Ÿ’› As mothers, what can we learn from this?

๐ŸŒธ 1. We don't have to pretend that we are perfect.
Sometimes we lose our patience. Sometimes our words hurt our children or our husbands. Sometimes we make decisions we later regret. We can acknowledge our mistakes instead of hiding them.

๐ŸŒธ 2. Forgiveness begins with taking responsibility.
Leviticus teaches us that repentance isn't simply saying, โ€œI'm sorry.โ€ It also involves recognizing what we have done and being willing to make things right.

๐ŸŒธ 3. When possible, make restitution.
If our words hurt someone, let us apologize. If our actions caused harm, let us do what we can to restore what was broken.

๐ŸŒธ 4. Our mistakes don't have to define us.
Our failures can become opportunities to teach our children what humility, repentance, forgiveness, and grace look like.

๐ŸŒธ 5. Our leadership at home matters.
Leviticus gives greater responsibility to priests and leaders because their actions affected others. As mothers, our children are watching us. They learn not only from our strengths, but also from how we respond when we are wrong.

Sometimes the most powerful lesson we can give our children is:

โ€œMommy was wrong. I am sorry. Please forgive me.โ€

That doesn't make us weak.

It teaches them what grace looks like.

And today, we can thank God that our hope is not found in our ability to be perfect, but in His mercy and His provision for forgiveness.

๐Ÿ™ Prayer for Mothers

โ€œLord, help us to be mothers who are humble enough to admit when we are wrong, brave enough to ask for forgiveness, and loving enough to make things right. Teach us to lead our families not through perfection, but through grace, truth, and obedience to You. May our children see Your character reflected in the way we live and love. In Jesus name Amen.โ€

๐ŸŒฟ Reflection:
Is there something God is asking you to acknowledge, apologize for, or make right today?

โ€œA holy God makes a way for our mistakes to be forgivenโ€”but He also teaches us to take responsibility and walk in restoration.โ€

TAOS PUSONG PAGBIBIGAY
Basahin: 2 TIMOTEO 1:6

OPENHEARTED GENEROSITY
TODAYโ€™S BIBLE READING: 2 TIMOTHY 1:6-14
The Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. [ 2 TIMOTHY 1:7 ]
No one ever died saying, โ€œIโ€™m so glad for the self-centered, selfserving, and self-protective life I lived,โ€ author Parker Palmer said in a commencement address, urging graduates to โ€œoffer [themselves] to the world โ€ฆ with openhearted generosity.โ€
But, Parker continued, living this way would also meaning learning โ€œhow little you know and how easy it is to fail.โ€ Offering themselves in service to the world would require cultivating a โ€œbeginnerโ€™s mindโ€ to โ€œwalk straight into your not-knowing, and take the risk of failing and failing, again and again-then getting up to learn again and again.โ€
Itโ€™s only when our lives are built on a foundation of grace that we can find the courage to choose such a life of fearless โ€œopenhearted generosity.โ€ As Paul explained to his protรฉgรฉ Timothy, we can confidently โ€œfan into flameโ€ (2 TIMOTHY 1:6) and live out of Godโ€™s gifting when we remember that itโ€™s Godโ€™s grace that saves and calls us to a life of purpose (V. 9). Itโ€™s His power that gives us the courage to resist the temptation to live timidly in exchange for the Spiritโ€™s โ€œpower, love and self-disciplineโ€ (V. 7). And itโ€™s His grace that picks us up when we fall, so that we can continue a lifelong journey of grounding our lives in His love (VV. 13-14). MONICA LA ROSE
How are you tempted to live timidly? How do Godโ€™s grace and power help you live more boldly for Him?
Dear God, thank You that we donโ€™t have to live timidly, fearfully guarding ourselves from failure or hurt. Help us to lean into the courage You provide.

WALANG HANGGANG SIMBAHAN
Basahin: EFESO 2:14

GODโ€™S ETERNAL CHURCH
TODAYโ€™S BIBLE READING: EPHESIANS 2:14-22
The gates of hell shall not prevail against it. [ MATTHEW 16:18 ]
โ€œIs church over?โ€ asked a young mother arriving at our church with two children in tow just as the Sunday service was ending. But a greeter told her that a church nearby offered two Sunday services and the second would start soon. Would she like a ride there? The young mother said yes and seemed grateful to travel the few blocks to the other church. Reflecting later, the greeter came to this conclusion: โ€œIs church over? Never. Godโ€™s church goes on forever.โ€
The church isnโ€™t a fragile โ€œbuilding.โ€ Itโ€™s the faithful family of God who are โ€œmembers of his household,โ€ wrote Paul, โ€œbuilt on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spiritโ€ (EPHESIANS 2:19-22).
Jesus Himself established His church for eternity. He declared that despite challenges or troubles facing His church, โ€œthe gates of hell shall not prevail against itโ€ (MATTHEW 16:18 KJV).
Through this empowering lens, we can see our local churches-all of us-as a part of Godโ€™s universal church, being built โ€œin Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!โ€ (EPHESIANS 3:21). PATRICIA RAYBON
What about your local church makes you grateful? How can you help Godโ€™s universal church grow?
As a part of Your church, dear Jesus, keep building me in You.

REGALONG TIBAY NG LOOB
Basahin: 1 Samuel 23:14
Dahil dito, patuloy ninyong pasiglahin at patatagin ang isaสผt isa, katulad nga ng ginagawa ninyo. - 1 TESALONICA 5:11
Dagdag pa niya, โ€œMaaaring mangyari ito kahit kanino!โ€

THE GIFT OF ENCOURAGEMENT
TODAYโ€™S BIBLE READING: 1 SAMUEL 23:14-23
Encourage one another and build each other up. [ 1 THESSALONIANS 5:11 ]
โ€œYour bees are swarming!โ€ My wife stuck her head inside the door and gave me news no beekeeper wants to hear. I ran outside to see thousands of bees flying up from the hive to the top of a tall pine, never to return.
I was a little behind in reading the clues that the hive was about to swarm; more than a week of storms had hampered my inspections. The morning the storms ended, the bees left. The colony was new and healthy, and the bees were actually dividing the colony to start a new one. โ€œDonโ€™t be hard on yourself,โ€ an experienced beekeeper told me cheerfully after seeing my disappointment. โ€œThis can happen to anyone!โ€
Encouragement is a winsome gift. When David was disheartened because Saul was pursuing him to take his life, Saulโ€™s son Jonathan encouraged David. โ€œDonโ€™t be afraid,โ€ Jonathan said. โ€œMy father Saul will not lay a hand on you. You will be king over Israel, and I will be second to you. Even my father Saul knows thisโ€ (1 SAMUEL 23:17).
Those are surprisingly selfless words from someone next in line to the throne. Itโ€™s likely Jonathan recognized that God was with David, so he spoke out of a humble heart of faith.
All around us are people who need encouragement. God will help us help them as we humble ourselves before Him and ask Him to love them through us. JAMES BANKS
Who do you know who needs encouragement? How might you humbly serve them today?
Dear God, You give me eternal encouragement and good hope. Help me to show Your love to someone today.

KAILANGAN NG ESPASYO
Basahin: EXODUS 33:1
Kapag nakikipag-usap ang แด˜แด€ษดษขษชษดแดแดษด kay Moises, magkaharap sila, katulad ng magkaibigan na nagkukwentuhan. - EXODUS 33:11

FINDING OPEN SPACES
TODAYโ€™S BIBLE READING: EXODUS 33:1-4, 7-11
The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. [ EXODUS 33:11 ]
In his book Margin, Dr. Richard Swenson writes, โ€œWe must have some room to breathe. We need freedom to think and permission to heal. Our relationships are being starved to death by velocityโ€ฆ Our children lay wounded on the ground, run over by our high-speed good intentions. Is God now pro-exhaustion? Doesnโ€™t He lead people beside the still waters anymore? Who plundered those wide-open spaces of the past, and how can we get them back?โ€ Swenson says we need some quiet, fertile โ€œlandโ€ in life where we can rest in God and meet with Him.
Does that resonate? Seeking open spaces is something Moses lived out well. Leading a nation of โ€œstubborn and rebelliousโ€ people (EXODUS 33:5 NLT), he often withdrew to find rest and guidance in Godโ€™s presence. And in his โ€œtent of meetingโ€ (V. 7), โ€œthe Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friendโ€ (V. 11). Jesus also โ€œoften withdrew to lonely places and prayedโ€ (LUKE 5:16). Both He and Moses realized the importance of spending time alone with the Father.
We too need to build margin into our lives, some wide and open spaces spent in rest and in Godโ€™s presence. Spending time with Him will help us make better decisions-creating healthier margins and boundaries in our life so we have the bandwidth available to love Him and others well.
Letโ€™s seek God in open spaces today. TOM FELTEN
Why do you need margin in your life? How will you build some space into your schedule to spend time with God?
Jesus, help me to seek some quiet moments with You each day.
