Minamahal na mga Kabataan,

Taus-puso kong ninanais na ang inyong buhay sa simbahan ay maging kapaki-pakinabang, masaya, at puno ng kagalakan. Sa atin, may ilan na ay lubos nang hinog at parang mga nakatatanda, at mayroon ding ilan na nagsisimula pa lamang sa kanilang paglalakbay sa buhay pananampalataya. Nais ko pong iparating sa inyo ang ilang mga paalala:

1. Matatag na Pananampalataya
Ang buhay sa simbahan ay panghabambuhay. Hindi tama na dumadalo lamang tayo kapag gusto natin at hindi na pumupunta kapag ayaw natin. Kahit magaan ang pakiramdam o hindi, kailangan nating magpatuloy hanggang sa wakas, tulad ni Jesus na nagbata ng krus at umakyat sa Bundok ng Kalbaryo.

2. Hindi Ito Libangan
Gagawin natin ang lahat upang maging masaya at makahulugan ang buhay sa simbahan, ngunit tandaan ninyo: hindi ito isang libangan, kundi isang proseso ng pag-aaral ng Salita ng Diyos. Sa paaralan, kahit pagalitan tayo ng g**o, patuloy pa rin tayong pumapasok. Ngunit sa simbahan, may ilan na hindi na dumadalo dahil lamang sa maliit na sama ng loob. Iyon ay maling paggamit ng pag-ibig ni Jesus. Walang sinumang nananaway dahil sa galit, kundi dahil sa pag-ibig. Kahit sa pagtutuwid, ito ay ginagawa nang may malasakit. Kami rin ay magsisikap na gumamit ng mas mahinahong pananalita. Sama-sama nating ipagpatuloy ang ating paglalakbay ng pananampalataya.

3. Tumingin kay Jesus
Kung tao lamang sa simbahan ang ating titingnan, palagi tayong madidismaya. Mula pagkabata, hindi ko kailanman pinalampas ang Lingguhang Pagsamba—hindi dahil sa mga taong nakapaligid sa akin, kundi dahil nakatuon ang aking mga mata kay Jesus na namatay para sa akin. Ang mga pastor, diakono, at g**o ay hindi perpekto. Ituon ninyo ang inyong paningin kay Jesus, na nag-alay ng Kanyang buhay para sa inyo, at magpatuloy sa pananampalataya.

4. Mahal Namin Kayo
Tunay naming mahal kayo, mga kabataan. Kahit nagkaroon ng mga hindi kanais-nais o nakasakit na karanasan sa nakaraan, hinihikayat ko kayo na magsimulang muli sa inyong lakad ng pananampalataya. Huwag kayong tumingin lamang sa panlabas na anyo; tumingin kayo sa kalooban, at makikita ninyo ang wangis ng Diyos. Mahirap man, hangad ko na makita ninyo ang wangis ng Diyos sa puso ng inyong mga kapatid.

5. Kayo ang mga Bulaklak ng Simbahan
Kayo ang magagandang bulaklak ng ating simbahan at mga susunod na lider na magdadala sa simbahan pasulong. Tayo ay isang pamilya ng asin at ilaw na pinagbuklod ng Diyos. Ang pamilya ay natutong magtakip ng pagkukulang, umunawa, at magmahal muli. Mula ngayon, sama-sama nating itatag bilang isang pamilya sa simbahan ang pinakamasayang pamilya dito sa Antipolo—isang pamilya na punô ng halakhak at kagalakan.
