God’s Word tells us in Psalm 91:3 “Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome pestilence.” The word surely means that this is something we can count on. This promise from God is not reserved for the elite, or for the super saints; this is talking to all of us. This promise is relevant to where we are today. So many people are fearing the COVID-19 virus, and yet, Psalm 91 is a promise of God that as we abide in him, trust Him, surely He will deliver us.
The Amplified Bible and New International Version translate “noisome pestilence” as “deadly pestilence.” The Living Bible says “fatal plague.” So, dwelling in the secret place of the most High will also keep us from plagues.
