A Grace-Filled Time of Renewal

The Family and Life Apostolate (FLA) of the Parish of the Immaculate Heart of Mary gathered on August 21–22, 2026, for a meaningful Recollection and Fellowship, facilitated by Sr. Evangeline M. De Leon, FMA.

It was a grace-filled opportunity to pause, pray, reflect, and return to the source of our vocation, to encounter Jesus anew and receive the grace to continue serving couples and families with humility, love, and faithfulness.

The recollection culminated in the Holy Mass, presided over by Rev. Fr. Alfredo E. Meneses, Jr., followed by the Renewal of Marriage Vows and a joyful Cana Celebration, giving thanks for the precious gifts of marriage, family, friendship, and God’s enduring faithfulness.

May our FLA ministers continue to be joyful witnesses of Christ’s love, faithfully accompanying couples and families toward a deeper, stronger, and more Christ-centered life together.❤️

AUGUST 24 | Feast of Saint Bartholomew, Apostle

St. Bartholomew, also identified with Nathanael in the Gospel of John, was one of the Twelve Apostles chosen by Jesus. He is remembered for his sincere heart and unwavering faith. When Jesus first saw him, He declared, "Here is a true Israelite. There is no duplicity in him." (John 1:47). From that moment, Bartholomew faithfully followed Christ and later proclaimed the Gospel in distant lands, giving his life as a martyr in witness to the faith.

His life reminds us that God calls ordinary people with honest and faithful hearts to accomplish extraordinary things for His Kingdom. Like St. Bartholomew, may we respond generously to Christ's invitation, courageously proclaim the Gospel, and remain steadfast in our faith, even in the face of trials.

Saint Bartholomew, pray for us.

Today’s Gospel (Mt. 16:13-20) reminds us of an important question Jesus asks His disciples: “Who do you say that I am?”
Peter answers with faith, declaring that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. In response, Jesus entrusts Peter with a special mission and makes him the rock upon which He will build His Church.

This Gospel reminds us that following Jesus is more than simply knowing about Him. It is about recognizing who He is in our lives, trusting Him, and being willing to live out our faith. Like Peter, we are also called to strengthen one another and help build a community rooted in Christ.

As we gather for today’s Holy Mass, may we continue to grow in faith, trust in the Lord, and courageously answer through our lives: “Jesus, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
May our faith in Christ continue to unite, strengthen, and guide us each day.

We invite everyone to join us for our Parish Monthly Formation this August 29, 2026 (Saturday), at 7:15 PM, with the theme:
“𝑫𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒕 𝑰𝒔𝒂 𝑳𝒂𝒏𝒈: 𝑷𝒂𝒎𝒖𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒐 𝑩𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒈𝒍𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒌𝒐𝒅, 𝑯𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊 𝑷𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒂".

As members of the Church, our faith does not end within the walls of our parish. We are called to bring the values of the Gospel into our daily lives and to become responsible and active members of society, guided by our faith and the teachings of the Church.

Through this formation, we hope to deepen our understanding that leadership is a responsibility and a form of service—not a privilege to be passed on as a personal inheritance.

Our Guest Speaker is 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮. 𝗔𝗴𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗩𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗮 𝗖. 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘀, a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, where she earned her BS in Communications Technology Management, Cum Laude, and holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies, major in Systematic Theology, from the Loyola School of Theology. She currently serves as a Senior Program Officer of Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan and Part-time Theology Lecturer at Ateneo de Manila University, where she teaches Ignatian Discernment. Her work in spiritual formation, pastoral ministry, youth leadership, and civic engagement reflects her commitment to helping young people and communities grow in faith and become responsible contributors to society.

Please come as we listen, learn, and reflect on how our faith calls us to be responsible citizens and faithful servants of the common good.

August 22, 2026 | Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Photos taken during this morning’s Holy Mass celebration on the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Mary’s queenship is not about worldly power or authority. She is Queen because she is the Mother of Jesus, our King, and because she faithfully shared in His mission with humility, love, and complete trust in God.

May we always look to Mary as our loving Mother and Queen, seeking her guidance and intercession as we journey closer to Christ.

Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth, pray for us and lead us always to your Son, Jesus.

Bishop Ruperto Santos reminded the faithful that true ministry flows from a heart made pure, a spirit obedient to God, and a life marked by respect for others. He reflected that these virtues, inspired by the Blessed Mother, are not signs of perfection but of sincerity and humility, allowing God’s grace to radiate through every word and gesture of service. In his pastoral guidance, he emphasized that ministry is not merely a task but a sacred offering, where the servant becomes a vessel of Christ’s light.

With prayers lifted to the Lord and to the Virgin of Antipolo, Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje, Bishop Ruperto Santos encouraged the community to embody these lessons in their daily mission. In every smile, every encounter, and every act of kindness, the faithful are called to reveal Christ’s presence. Thus, their service becomes a living testimony of faith, hope, and charity, guiding pilgrims and parishioners closer to God’s embrace."
