AUGUST 11 | Memorial of Saint Clare, Virgin

"We become what we love, and who we love shapes what we become."

St. Clare of Assisi left behind a life of wealth and comfort to follow Christ in poverty, simplicity, and complete trust in God. Inspired by the example of St. Francis of Assisi, she founded the Order of Poor Ladies, now known as the Poor Clares, dedicating her life to prayer, contemplation, and joyful service. Through her deep love for the Eucharist and unwavering faith, she became a shining witness that true riches are found in Christ alone.

Her life reminds us that holiness is found not in worldly success, but in loving God wholeheartedly and reflecting His light to others through humility, prayer, and charity.

AUGUST 4 | Memorial of Saint John Mary Vianney, Priest

"The priesthood is the love of the Heart of Jesus."

Today, we commemorate the life of St. John Mary Vianney, Patron Saint of Parish Priests.

Though he struggled in his studies and faced many obstacles before becoming a priest, St. John Mary Vianney never gave up on God's call. As the humble parish priest of Ars, France, he became known for his holiness, tireless service, and countless hours spent hearing Confessions, leading many souls back to God. His deep prayer, simplicity of life, and love for the Eucharist transformed an entire village.

St. John Mary Vianney reminds us that God works through humble and faithful hearts. May we imitate his example by making time for prayer, frequently receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation, loving the Eucharist, and serving others with compassion and humility.
