MAUNDY THURSDAY | April 2, 2026
In the quiet rhythm of water hitting the basin, we find a language deeper than words. To kneel before another is not an act of submission to power, but a submission to Grace. It is a moment where the ego must step aside, making room for a love that doesn't demand to be noticed, only to be felt.
When we wash the feet of our brothers and sisters, we are doing more than cleansing the dust of the world; we are acknowledging the holiness in their journey. We are saying, 'I see the miles you have walked, I honor the burdens you have carried, and I am here to help you find rest.' It is a sacred exchange where the one kneeling and the one sitting are both made whole.
Jesus didn't just give us a ritual; He gave us a roadmap. He showed us that the highest place in the Kingdom is found on the floor, towel in hand. As we document this act today, we aren't just capturing a ceremony we are witnessing the shedding of pride and the quiet, powerful emergence of a servant’s heart. May we carry this spirit of humility long after the water has dried, remembering that to love truly is to serve deeply.
