O God, faithful rewarder of souls, grant that your departed servant Pope Francis, whom you made successor of Peter and shepherd of your Church, may happily enjoy for ever in your presence in heaven the mysteries of your grace and compassion, which he faithfully ministered on earth. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

Eternal rest grant unto the soul of our dear Lolo Kiko, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.

ANO ANG VIA CRUCIS?

Ang “Via Crucis” o ang Daan ng Krus ay isa sa mga pinakatanyag at pinakalaganap sa mga debosyon ng Simbahang Katoliko sa Panahon ng Kuwaresma. Karaniwan itong isinasagawa at pinagninilayan sa araw ng Biyernes na nasa loob ng panahong ito.Inilalarawan dito ang daang tinahak ni Kristo patungo sa Golgotha, ang 'Dako ng mga Bungo' o ang Kalbaryo.

Sa paglipas ng panahon, nagkaroon ng iba’t ibang bilang ang mga istasyon at nagkaroon din ng iba’t ibang pagkakasunud-sunod ang mga ito. Hanggang nuong 1731 ay itinakda ni Papa Clemente XII sa bilang na 14 ang mga istasyon at sa pagkakasunud-sunod na kinasanayan na ng lahat ng mga Katoliko. Nakaugalian na ang pagdaraos ng "Via Crucis" o Daan ng Krus sa mga simbahan, mga kapilya, mga pampublikong daan at kabahayan ng mga mananampalataya.

Ang layunin ng mga Estasyon ay tulungan ang mga mananampalataya na magkaroon ng isang espirituwal na paglalakbay sa panalangin, sa pamamagitan ng pagninilay-nilay sa mga pangunahing pangyayari sa pagdurusa at kamatayan ni Kristo. Isang plenaryo indulhensiya ang ipinagkakaloob sa mga mananampalataya na nagsasagawa ng pagdarasal gamit ang Daan ng Krus.
