2 Timothy 3:16-17
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
We can trust the Scriptures, the Bible, because they come from God, as it says "All Scripture is God-breathed." It's not just stories; God inspired people to write it. It's true, tested, and helps us learn what's right (teaching), see our mistakes (rebuking), making our actions right (correcting), and guides us to live rightly (training in righteousness).
Since we are now sure that the Bible is God-breathed, read and apply it to our lives! Read the Word of God, and allow the Lord to teach, rebuke, correct, and train you in righteousness. So that you be thoroughly equipped to do what is good and pleasing to the Lord. Don't just read it, but apply it. Don't just read it to gain knowledge, but to have a changed and faithful life before God.
Lord, I believe that your Word is true and living. Give me the desire to dive more into your Word. Make me hungry for your Word. And as I dwell in your Word, let your Word teach, rebuke, correct, and train me in righteousness. Let your Word change and transform me. And let my faith be strengthened by holding firm to your very Word. Amen.
