Sabbath Gathering | April 25, 2026

Last Sabbath we talked about powerful reminders for our walk of faith.

We were reminded that blessings given by people can change or be taken away, but the blessings that come from Christ are eternal and cannot be removed. His favor, His promises, and His love remain steady no matter what happens in life.

We also reflected that shortcuts are never the quicker road to victory. Instead, they often create detours that lead us away from growth, purpose, and the lessons God wants us to learn along the way.

May we continue to trust Godโ€™s timing, His process, and His unshakable blessings in our lives.

Seeing the children in Nakar smile, laugh, and enjoy the fun games was truly heartwarming. Moments like these remind us why we serveโ€”because joy shared is love multiplied.

Thank you to all the volunteers, donors, and supporters who made this possible. Your kindness created happiness that these kids will carry in their hearts.

May we continue to be a blessing to others.

This Sabbath was spent stepping away from the noise and embracing true restโ€”physically, mentally, and spiritually.

It served as a reminder that real rest isnโ€™t just about stopping, but about finding peace in Jesus Christโ€”a kind of rest that renews the heart and restores strength.

There was also deep gratitude for the gift of friendsโ€”moments filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and genuine connection. Fellowship like this reflects Godโ€™s goodness and love in a powerful way. ๐Ÿค

In a busy world, itโ€™s easy to forget to pause. But today reminded them:

Rest is a gift.
Friendship is a blessing.
And true peace is found in God.

Life doesnโ€™t always take us through the shortest or easiest pathโ€”and that can be frustrating. Like the Israelites, we often want quick results, clear answers, and smooth journeys. This remind us that sometimes the longer route is actually the wiser one.

There are moments when we feel delayed, redirected, or even lost. We might think, โ€œWhy is this taking so long?โ€ or โ€œWhy isnโ€™t this working out the way I planned?โ€ But just as God avoided leading the Israelites into a situation they werenโ€™t ready for, life can also steer us away from challenges weโ€™re not yet prepared to face.

The โ€œlong wayโ€ can be a time of growth. It builds patience, strength, and readiness. What feels like a setback may actually be protection. What seems like a delay may be preparation.

Faith is often described as believing without seeing, and Hebrews 11:8 gives that idea a real, human face through Abrahamโ€™s story. He was called to leave everything familiarโ€”his home, his security, his plansโ€”and go to a place he didnโ€™t even know yet. That kind of trust is hard, especially when life feels unclear or when weโ€™re asked to step outside whatโ€™s safe.

Abraham had to release control and depend on Godโ€™s direction. In our own lives, we may not be asked to physically leave our homes, but we are often called to step into unknown situationsโ€”new responsibilities, decisions, or changesโ€”without having everything figured out.

Hebrews 11:8 challenges us to ask: Do I trust enough to move forward even when I donโ€™t have all the answers? Faith means taking that step, believing that God is already ahead of us, preparing the way.

Fresh encounters with God show that faith is not a one-time decisionโ€”it is a journey of continual trust and renewal. Every fresh encounter after that strengthened his relationship with God and reshaped his identity.

What stands out is that God didnโ€™t reveal everything at once. Instead, He met Abraham repeatedlyโ€”through promises, visions, and covenant. In Book of Genesis 15, God reassured Abraham when doubt crept in. In Genesis 17, God renewed His covenant, even changing Abramโ€™s name to Abraham, marking a transformation not just in title but in purpose. These encounters remind us that God understands human weakness and meets us again and again, especially when our faith wavers.

This speaks to us: spiritual growth doesnโ€™t come from a single moment, but from ongoing encounters with God. Like Abraham, we may face uncertainty, delays, or doubts. But each new encounter is an invitationโ€”to trust deeper, walk further, and become who we are meant to be.

Living by faith today means making choices rooted in trustโ€”especially in uncertain moments. Itโ€™s choosing to move forward with hope instead of fear, to do what is right even when itโ€™s hard, and to believe that there is purpose beyond what we can immediately understand. Faith is not passive; it calls for action, courage, and patience.

In daily life, living by faith shapes how we treat others. It encourages forgiveness, kindness, and humility because we trust that these reflect something greater than ourselves. Just like the people in Hebrews 11, our faith is seen not only in what we believe, but in how we live and relate to others every day.

The story of David and Goliath teaches that even the biggest challenges can be overcome with courage and the right mindset. Like David facing Goliath, we often encounter โ€œgiantsโ€ in relationships such as fear, pride, or misunderstandings.

Instead of focusing on how big the problem is, we should focus on what we can doโ€”like communicating honestly, showing empathy, and being brave enough to face issues. Just as David trusted his simple tools, small actions can make a big difference.

In the end, overcoming relationship โ€œgiantsโ€ means having confidence, courage, and the willingness to grow through challenges.

Sometimes the giants in our lives look too big to face. But faith reminds us that victory is never about our strengthโ€”itโ€™s about trusting the One who stands with us.

Just like David stood before the giant with courage, we are called to stand firm in faith, knowing that God is greater than any challenge we face.

Join us as we discover how faith can help us overcome the giants in our lives. ๐Ÿ™โœจ

When Peter walked on water toward Jesus, he was able to do the impossible because of his faith. But when he focused on the strong wind and waves, fear made him begin to sink.

This reminds us that in life, storms will comeโ€”problems, worries, and fears. When we focus on those storms, we lose courage. But when we keep our eyes on Jesus, we find strength and hope.

And even when our faith becomes weak, Jesus is always ready to reach out His hand and lift us up.
