2. Define the purpose of your group: What is the purpose of your discipleship group? Is it to study the Bible, to pray together, to share your faith with others, or to serve your community? Defining the purpose of your group will help you to identify the topics you'll cover, the format of your meetings, and the people you'll invite to join.

3. Invite people to join: Once you've defined the purpose of your group, start inviting people to join. This can be done in person, through social media, or by sending out emails. Share the vision and purpose of your group and encourage people to join you in growing in their faith.

4. Set a regular meeting time and place: Consistency is key when it comes to a discipleship group. Set a regular meeting time and place that works for everyone involved. Consider meeting weekly or bi-weekly, and choose a location that is convenient for everyone.

One Bible verse that can encourage you in times of waiting and sacrifice is Isaiah 40:31 which says, "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." This verse reminds us that when we wait on the Lord, He will renew our strength and give us the ability to persevere through difficult times.

Another verse that can encourage you is Romans 8:18 which says, "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." This verse reminds us that the sacrifices we make in this life are temporary and pale in comparison to the eternal glory that awaits us in heaven.

Lastly, Hebrews 12:1-2 says, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith." This verse reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles, but are surrounded by a community of believers who have gone before us. It encourages us to keep our focus on Jesus and to run with perseverance the race that God has set before us.

God's promises are a source of hope and comfort for believers throughout history. These promises offer assurance that God is with us and that He has a plan for our lives. Here are some of the most powerful promises that God has made to His people.

1. Salvation: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16. This is perhaps the most well-known promise in the Bible. God promises that anyone who believes in His Son will have eternal life.

2. Forgiveness: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." - 1 John 1:9. God promises to forgive us when we confess our sins to Him.

3. Provision: "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:19. God promises to provide for our needs, both physical and spiritual.

4. Strength: "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." - Philippians 4:13. God promises to give us the strength we need to face any challenge that comes our way.

5. Protection: "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." - Psalm 18:2. God promises to protect us from harm and keep us safe.

6. Guidance: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6. God promises to guide us in the right direction if we trust in Him and seek His guidance.

7. Peace: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." - John 14:27. God promises to give us peace that surpasses all understanding, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.

8. Comfort: "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. God promises to comfort us in our times of need, and to use our experiences to comfort others who are going through similar struggles.
