Romans 1:4
"...and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 8:2
"Because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death."

Understanding the Verse:
1. **The Law of the Spirit**:

1 Corinthians 3:16 says, "Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?"

In this verse, Paul is addressing the believers in Corinth, reminding them of their identity and the sacredness of their community. Here’s some of the key points:

1. **God's Temple**: The concept of being God's temple signifies that believers collectively form a holy and sacred space. In the Old Testament, the temple was the physical place where God's presence dwelt. Now, under the new covenant, God’s presence dwells within the community of believers. Yung temple ngayon is beyond of the physical building.

2. **God’s Spirit Dwells in You**: This means that the Holy Spirit lives within each believer and among the community of believers. This indwelling of the Spirit signifies a close, personal relationship with God and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit at work within us. We must take care of ourselves by making it HOLY AND PURE. Grieve not the holy Spirit by doing lustful and evil things with our body.

How can we keep ourselves holy and pure before the Lord?

1. **Value Your Worth**: Knowing that you are God's temple should instill a sense of value and dignity. You are precious and holy in God’s eyes. Carry this truth with you and let it uplift your self-worth. Hindi amusement park ang body mo where everyone is welcome. Maging mapili at choose the one who respects and love you the way Christ have loved you.

2. **Live with Purpose**: Understanding that the Holy Spirit dwells within you can give your life direction and meaning. You are not just living for yourself but as a vessel of God's presence in the world. This can inspire you to live with INTEGRITY, PURPOSE, and LOVE.

3. **Strength in Unity**: This verse emphasizes the collective nature of the church. You are part of a community where God’s Spirit dwells. Draw strength and encouragement from being part of the body of Christ, knowing you are never alone in your walk of faith.

4. **Holiness and Responsibility**: Being God’s temple calls for a life of holiness and responsibility. STRIVE to live in a way that honors God, knowing that your actions and choices reflect the presence of God within you. Huwag tayong gagawa ng kung ano mang magpapabahid sa Pangalan ng Panginoon because remember, we are the ambassadors of Christ. Anything we say/do, it reflects to Christ. Be mindful.

5. **Empowerment through the Holy Spirit**: The indwelling of the Holy Spirit empowers you to overcome challenges, grow in faith, and bear spiritual fruit. Lean on the Holy Spirit for guidance, comfort, and strength in every aspect of your life. Depend on the Holy Spirit Always kasi the Holy Spirit will always guide and convict you.

6. Find an accountable partner: Having an accountable partner is a BLESSING. He/She will help you stay pure and on-track with your walk with the Lord. Andyan sya to always remind you, rebuke, correct you anytime you're falling off the track. Hindi kalaban ang mga accoutable partners but rather, a friend who's protecting us to fall into sin. He/She's not being manipulative nor controlling. He/She just doesn't want you to fall into sin. Kaya let her correct you, rebuke you and remind you all the time!

Take a moment to reflect on this verse and its meaning for your life. Consider how you can honor God’s presence within you and within your community. Let this truth inspire you to live a life that reflects God’s love and holiness to those around you. :)

"BE THE LIGHT"

As Christians, our responsibility goes beyond personal holiness; we are called to made an impact to the lives of those around us. In the workplace, we interact with many who may not encounter Christ elsewhere, making it a vital place for our witness. However, we must approach this with care and wisdom.

First, it’s important to honor our professional responsibilities. We are paid to do our jobs, and using work time for evangelism can be seen as dishonest. Our employers trust us to fulfill our duties, and we must respect that trust.

Second, we must be considerate of the workplace environment. Our witness should not create divisions or foster hostility among colleagues, especially those who do not share our faith. Our goal is to share Christ’s love, not to alienate or offend others.

Third, we must ensure our actions are not perceived as self-promoting. Our witness should come from a place of genuine care and humility, not as a means to elevate ourselves.

Finally, we must remember that our behavior and work ethic are part of our witness. If we are vocal about our faith but perform poorly in our duties, it can reflect badly on Christ.

OUR EXCELLENCE IN WORK SHOULD MATCH OUR ENTHUSIASM FOR SHARING OUR FAITH, DEMONSTRATING INTEGRITY, AND HONORING CHRIST IN ALL WE DO.

"DO RIGHT"

There is this one song I learned from my previous school, the title of the song is "DO RIGHT TILL THE STARS FALL." It is actually a kid's song but the lyrics made an impact in my everyday life, and I hope sa'yo rin :)

The lyrics goes like this:
"From the very start, have purpose in your heart To do what’s right and never question why. Never count the cost, though everything seems lost; The price for doing right is sometimes high.

Do right till the stars fall, do right till the last call Do right when there’s no one else to stand by you! Do right when you’re all alone, do right though it’s never known. Do right since you love the Lord — do right, do right!

Right is always right, and wrong is always wrong, And we must learn to separate the two! If you love the right, the Lord will give you light; So seek the right in everything you do!

Do right till the stars fall, do right till the last call Do right when there’s no one else to stand by you! Do right when you’re all alone, do right though it’s never known. Do right since you love the Lord — do right, do right!"

As Christians, we are called to do RIGHTFUL and TRUTHFUL THINGS, not to cover up nor tolerate evil doings.

May nakatingin o wala, WE MUST DO WHAT IS RIGHT for it GLORIFIES GOD.

Let us NOT COMPROMISE, because our lives is an open book to everybody, kaya sana yung mga ginagawa natin sa school, sa workplace, sa church, or kung saan pa man, ay NAKAPAGBIBIGAY ng KALUWALHATIAN sa Panginoon.

Nawa'y makita tayo ng iba na MABUTING HALIMBAWA sa kanila at hindi ma-question ang ating integrity o ang ating pag paglilingkod dahil taliwas ito sa ating mga sinasabi.

Do RIGHT till the stars fall, do right since you love the Lord. Seek the right in all you do!

The Art of Giving
Giving tithes and offerings in church is more than a routine—it's an art, a beautiful expression of faith and stewardship that brings joy and blessing to both the giver and the receiver.
Each Sunday, as we gather in worship, we have the opportunity to participate in something profound. It's a moment where we acknowledge God's faithfulness in our lives and respond with gratitude. Giving isn't about meeting an obligation; it's about EMBRACING A PRIVILEGE. It's about RECOGNIZING that everything we have—our time, talents, and treasures—are gifts from God entrusted to us.
When we give our tithes, we acknowledge God as the source of all our blessings. It's a practical way to honor Him with the first fruits of our income, trusting that He will continue to provide for all our needs. As we sow into His kingdom, we join hands with Him in His mission to transform lives and communities.
Offerings, on the other hand, go beyond our regular tithes. They are a spontaneous expression of our love for God and our desire to see His kingdom advance. Whether it's supporting missions, helping those in need, or investing in the church's ministry, offerings reflect our heart's desire to make a difference in the world around us.
Being a GOOD STEWARD means using our resources WISELY and GENEROUSLY. It means investing in eternal things that have lasting impact. When we give with a cheerful heart, we lay up treasures in heaven where moth and rust cannot destroy. It's a tangible way to store up blessings for ourselves and others, knowing that God multiplies our gifts to accomplish His purposes.
So, as we approach the offering time in church, let's do so with JOY and ANTICIPATION. Let's remember that our giving is not in vain but is a seed planted that will yield a harvest of blessing. Let's continue to grow in the art of giving, knowing that God delights in a cheerful giver and promises to pour out His blessings abundantly.
In our generosity, let's inspire others to join us in this journey of faith and stewardship. Together, let's make a difference in the world as we faithfully sow into God's kingdom and witness His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

[Theology Tuesday]

Many Christians commonly quote Jeremiah 29:11 for its comforting promise, yet its full significance unfolds only when we delve into its historical and literary context. By understanding this context deeply, we not only uncover a more profound and relevant meaning but also avoid the pitfall of reading our own desires into Scripture. Rather, we discover the original intent of God and His prophets, enabling us to engage with Scripture authentically and apply its truths more meaningfully in our lives.

Now, let us dig deeper as we talk about Jeremiah 29:11 starting with its historical context.

Jeremiah 29:11 was written by Prophet Jeremiah when the Jews was under the domination of both Egyptian and Babylonian empire, and eventually experiencing the exile from Jerusalem to Babylon.

On a literary note, in the preceding chapters, Jeremiah pronounced judgment on the false prophet Hananiah. Hananiah had falsely assured the people that within two years, God would shatter Babylon's yoke, allowing them to return home.

Hananiah's appealing but deceptive message led to his downfall by God's hand (Jeremiah 28:15-17). In contrast, Jeremiah prophesied that the people would endure seventy years of exile in Babylon. Therefore, he encouraged them to settle down, build homes, start families, and even pray for the well-being of the city where they were now residing (Jeremiah 29:4-10).

In its proper context, Jeremiah 29:11 was addressed to people facing hardship and suffering, who were likely hoping for immediate relief similar to the false promise made by Hananiah. However, rather than offering an immediate escape from their trials, God's message assures them of His plan to prosper them even while they endure their current situation.

But what can we learn from this specific verse?

In times of difficulty, Christians can draw comfort from Jeremiah 29:11, recognizing that it does not promise instant rescue from hardships. Instead, it assures us that God has a plan for our lives. Regardless of our current circumstances, He can use them to bring about prosperity and provide us with hope and a promising future. :)

"FIND US FAITHFUL"

13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

The promise of God was made to Abraham and Sarah and they believed it through faith. Yet, they died without having never received it, only seeing it in FAITH. They were assured of them because of their FAITH. They embraced the promises of God with such faith.

These all died in faith:
✨They did not need to seek faith on their deathbed. They died in faith.
✨Though they did have faith, they did also die. We do not have faith to escape death, but to die in faith.
✨They never went beyond faith and “grew beyond” simple dependence on God.
✨They never went below faith or lost faith.

If these examples of faith endured through difficulty and discouragement without having received the promises, then we who have received the promises have even more reason for endurance.

May all who come before us FIND US FAITHFUL.

"The Steps of a Good Man are Ordered by the Lord."

"23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand. " - Psalm 37:23-24 NKJV

Ordered means to stand erect, to set up and to found. The Psalmist pertains to the journey of a GOOD MAN through life is directed, ordered, fitted, or arranged by the Lord. That in his journey, he is under the divine guidance and control. And because he walk FAITHFULLY with the Lord, God blesses him.

"Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down"
Even if he fall, literally, God upholdeth him in His hands and raises him up again.

King David is an example of this. He fell into sin but GENUINELY sought the Lord, and the Lord heard his prayers. David received mercy and grace from the Lord and did not abuse it to sin again, but to WALK IN RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Because of that, the Lord blesses him and directed him in His righteousness.

12 Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. - 1 Timothy 4:12

Timothy called onto believers to BE AN EXAMPLE to the other believers. This meant that every GODLY SERVANT of GOD should be an EXAMPLE.

👉In what they say (WORD).
👉In what they do (CONDUCT).
👉In their LOVE.
👉In their attitude (SPIRIT).
👉In their faith (in the sense of FAITHFULNESS)
👉In their PURITY.

these are the criteria that Timothy set for every godly servant of God. Many are watching every footsteps that we take, if we are not a good example, we can mislead them.

Reading… exhortation… doctrine: These are the things that Timothy must give attention to. Each of these things are centered on God’s Word. He must give attention to these things in both his private life and in his public ministry.

As John Calvin says :
“Thus we learn how foolish and ridiculous it is for people to complain that they receive no honour, when in fact there is nothing about them that is worth honouring, but rather they expose themselves to contempt by their ignorance, the example of their impure lives, their lightmindedness and other faults. The only way to win respect is by outstanding virtues which will protect us against contempt.”

BE AN EXAMPLE OF THE BELIEVERS IN WORD AND IN CONDUCT.

Title: Pattern of faithfulness 🍃

Faithfulness is part of our relationship between things, people and God.

Lagi tayong sinusubok ng Diyos sa ating katapatan.

Like how God test abraham, if he can be able to sacrifice Isaac.

Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied. Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you. ” Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you. ” Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together, Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?” “Yes, my son?” Abraham replied. “The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together. When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. But the angel of the LORD called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied. “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son. ” – Genesis 22:1-12

Abraham passed the test because he is faithful to God.

In Psalms 101:6 says, “My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; the one whose walk is blameless
will minister to me.”

* God’s eyes are on the faithful.
* The faithful ones can minister to God.

God wanted every one of us to be with Him. Because Hell was created because of the rebellion of the angels but it was not intended for man.

Acts 16:8-15 tells us that there is a woman who is faithful to God.

Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them. From Troas we put out to sea and sailed straight for Samothrace, and the next day we went on to Neapolis. From there we traveled to Philippi, a Roman colony and the leading city of that district of Macedonia. And we stayed there several days. On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate to the river, where we expected to find a place of prayer. We sat down and began to speak to the women who had gathered there. One of those listening was a woman from the city of Thyatira named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth. She was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message. When she and the members of her household were baptized, she invited us to her home. “If you consider me a believer in the Lord,” she said, “come and stay at my house.” And she persuaded us. – Acts 16:8-15

What marks Lydia’s life:
- a seller of purple goods
- worshiper of God
- attentive to the word of God
- Baptized
- Faithful
- Hospitable

Faithfulness is being true to the purposes the God has created us for. Being found faithful to our creator purposes is surely, one of the highest honors that He could ever find ourselves to be.

Our Created purpose:
1. To be HIS TEMPLE
2. To be HIS STEWARDS
3. To be HIS SON OR DAUGHTER
4. To be HIS VICE-REGENT
5. To be HIS SERVANT

Lydia is written about because of her faithfulness and she prevailed in being so!

Isa lang ang magiging tanong ng Diyos sa atin:
- Are you faithful?

Being faithful or unfaithful are the only options available to a steward (manager of your household/estate of God on the earth).

“Well done! You are a good and faithful servant.”

‘Yan ang gusto nating marinig sa Lord kapag nakaharap na natin Siya.

In 1 Corinthians 4:2 says, “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.”

If we want to prove something in our relationship with the Lord, it is our Faithfulness. Hindi lang sa malaking bagay kundi pati narin sa maliliit na bagay.
