Love, Courtship, and Marriage Gathering of the Gideon Generation

The Gideon Generation successfully held a meaningful and insightful Love, Courtship, and Marriage Gathering, bringing together young people who are eager to understand God’s design for relationships. The event was highlighted by the timely and practical message delivered by Ptr. Teddy Songcuan, who spoke with clarity, wisdom, and a strong biblical foundation.

In his talk, Ptr. Teddy emphasized that God’s timing is always perfect. He reminded the youth that love is not something to rush, but something to entrust to the Lord. Waiting does not mean missing out; rather, it is part of God’s preparation for something better and lasting.

Another important point discussed was the value of waiting until one is financially capable before settling down. Ptr. Teddy explained that marriage involves responsibility, sacrifice, and stewardship. Being prepared—emotionally, spiritually, and financially—honors both God and one’s future family.

He also addressed the teenagers directly, encouraging them to focus on their studies first. Education, character-building, and personal growth are essential seasons that should not be neglected. According to him, faithfulness in present responsibilities prepares the youth for greater roles in the future.

After the message, an open question-and-answer portion followed, where Ptr. Teddy Songcuan and Bishop Mon Españo thoughtfully responded to honest and challenging questions from the youth. Their answers were grounded in Scripture, experience, and pastoral wisdom, making the discussion both relatable and enlightening.

One of the strong reminders shared during the Q&A was the importance of listening to parents and making them your best friends. Both leaders emphasized that parents are God-given guides whose counsel, though sometimes difficult to accept, is rooted in love and concern for their children’s future.

The gathering concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among the youth—to wait patiently, choose wisely, and trust God wholeheartedly in matters of love, courtship, and marriage. Truly, the event served as a powerful reminder that relationships are best built when God is at the center.

THE SCANDAL OF GRACE
Series 4: God Lifts Those Who Are Discriminated
Taken from the Message By: Ptr. Teddy Songcuan

References:
Romans 4:13-15; Galatians 1:6-9; 1 Timothy 2:11-14; John 20:17-18; Luke 24:10-11; Galatians 3:26-29; Exodus 3:5; Colossians 3:10

In a world that often measures worth through the lens of tradition, culture, and social standing, the Gospel of Grace stands as a startling contradiction—an audacious declaration that God’s favor is not bound by human standards. From Paul’s writings in Romans and Galatians to the intimate moments recorded in the Gospels, Scripture repeatedly unmasks the fragile structures we build to determine who is worthy and who is not. Grace, in its true and scandalous form, refuses to mingle with the conditions imposed by human tradition. It remains pure, unearned, and unfiltered.

History, both biblical and present, shows a painful pattern: those who carry God’s message are not always the ones society expects. Too often, we look first at a person’s status, background, or gender before listening to the truth they bring. This was evident in the aftermath of Christ’s resurrection. It was women—ordinary, overlooked, and dismissed by cultural norms—who were entrusted with the first proclamation of the risen Savior. They ran with hearts burning and voices trembling, yet the disciples hesitated to believe them. How tragic that the greatest news ever told was first met not with celebration, but with skepticism simply because of who delivered it.

Discrimination. Alienation. Isolation.

These are the heavy chains placed on people who dare to speak God’s truth while standing outside society’s favored circle. Culture may try to silence them, tradition may try to diminish them, and judgment may try to shame them—but God sees differently. In His kingdom, those pushed aside are lifted up, those dismissed are honored, and those underestimated are entrusted with divine purpose. For in Christ, “there is neither male nor female…for you are all one” (Galatians 3:28).

To love God deeply is to serve Him without pause, without waiting for perfect circumstances or human approval. It is to put on the new self—renewed, restored, and rooted in His grace. Serving God is not a seasonal task or a conditional role; it is a continuous posture of willingness. A willingness to stand firm when misunderstood, to speak even when ignored, and to walk confidently even when culture says you do not belong.

Grace lifts. Grace restores. Grace overturns the world’s expectations.

And when God lifts a person whom society has pushed down, no tradition, no prejudice, and no human voice can ever bring them low again.

As children of God, we must continually remember who we are and whose we are. The parable of the Prodigal Son beautifully reveals the heart of the Father—a God who restores, embraces, and reaffirms our identity even when we wander far.

If we truly belong to God, our identity in Him is secure and unshakable. Through the single, perfect offering of Jesus Christ, our salvation has been made complete. What He has done cannot be undone; who He says we are cannot be revoked.

Nothing in all creation—neither life nor death—has the power to separate us from the love of God. No one can sn**ch us from His mighty hands. Our part is to stand firm in this truth and apply His Word daily, allowing it to shape our thoughts, our choices, and our confidence.

We are chosen, adopted, and dearly loved by the Father. He lifts us up and positions us according to the pleasure of His perfect will. Our identity is not fragile; it is anchored in the unchanging grace of God.

FFFIM-PCF/BWGMI Sanctuary Hosts LTO’s National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims

Last November 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the FFFIM-PCF/BWGMI Sanctuary became a venue of compassion and reflection as it hosted the Land Transportation Office’s National Day of Remembrance of Road Crash Victims and Their Families. This year’s theme, “Road to Zero—Remembering the Past, Safeguarding the Future,” guided the entire program.

Pastor Teddy Songcuan delivered a heartfelt sermon centered on the theme, emphasizing the value of life, the importance of responsible driving, and the Christian call to care for one another on and off the road.

As a gesture of gratitude, Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to Ptr. Teddy Songcuan and Bishop Mon Españo for graciously hosting and supporting the event.

Participants also took part in the Wall of Remembrance, writing messages of encouragement such as “Slow Down,” “God is Always in Control,” and “Drive Safely.” These words served both as comfort for grieving families and reminders for all road users.

The gathering concluded with a sumptuous lunch generously provided by Bro. Chris Batoon, LTO Chief, fostering fellowship and unity among attendees.

A Heartfelt Tribute to God’s Servants

In celebration of Pastors Appreciation Month, Faith and Bloodwashed Family
gathered in a spirit of gratitude and love to honor their beloved spiritual leaders. The event was a touching reminder that behind every sermon, prayer, and act of service are men and women who tirelessly shepherd God’s flock.

Church administrators Sis. Marlyn Fernando, Sis. Hilda Mangoba, Sis. Maria Rhozel Fisco, and Sis. Cecil Bacani led the congregation in expressing their appreciation to the pastors, headed by Pastor Teddy Songcuan. They presented a heartfelt tribute using creative acronyms formed from each pastor’s name—each letter reflecting their character, calling, and unwavering faith. Thoughtful gifts followed, symbolizing the congregation’s love and gratitude.

“A pastor’s heart is a reflection of God’s own—tender, steadfast, and full of grace.”

Indeed, pastors are more than leaders; they are servants of God’s call, guiding His people through every storm and victory. As the celebration ended in prayer and thanksgiving, one truth echoed in every heart: appreciation strengthens the hands that serve and inspires the faith that follows.

THE SCANDAL OF GRACE
Series 2: Grace Has No Limitations and Restrictions

Before grace came, humanity was under the law. The law served as our guardian—showing us our sin and leading us to Christ—so that we might be justified by faith. But when faith came through Jesus, the law’s purpose was fulfilled.

Now, under the Gospel of Grace, all people can freely come to God, for salvation is offered to everyone who believes. We are blessed because God’s love knows no boundaries.

1. Law vs. Grace

Under the Law: When the clean touched the unclean, the clean became unclean.

Under Grace:When the clean (Jesus) touched the unclean, the unclean became clean.

The Spirit within us is greater than what is in the world. The blood of Jesus is more powerful than any impurity. Grace transforms rather than contaminates.

Grace has no limits—righteousness is contagious.

2. “Jesus, remember me.” – The Thief on the Cross

Grace requires no rituals and no religion.

In the old covenant, people brought lambs to atone for sin. But when Jesus entered Jerusalem on the tenth day of Abib (Nisan)—the same day lambs were chosen for Passover—He became the Perfect Lamb of God.

Though declared faultless by Pilate three times, He took our faults upon Himself. Through His sacrifice, He perfected salvation once and for all.

3. "It is Finished.”

Every work needed for salvation was completed by Jesus Christ.

We no longer strive for acceptance—it is already won.

Grace is scandalous because it gives everything to those who deserve nothing. And yet, this is the beauty of the Gospel: Christ’s finished work is enough—for all, forever.

THE SCANDAL OF GRACE
Series 1: The Law Condemns, Grace Saves

2 Corinthians 3:9
Romans 5:20; Romans 3:11-12

There are two ministries: the ministry of condemnation and the ministry of grace. When we live under the banner of grace, we leave the sins that we do behind.

Why is it called a scandal of grace? Because it couldn't be accepted by the religious people. It expresses a deep spiritual truth about God’s grace — that it is so undeserved, unfair, and shocking to human thinking that it almost feels scandalous.

1. Luke 18:18-23

Only God is good. Grace will bring the law to the maximum outcome. The total outcome of the law is death. Under grace, there is no discrimination. The law condemns, grace saves.

2. John 8:4-11

Jesus wrote something on the ground, which is connected to God writing the Commandments during the time of Moses. Grace gives new life, chances and is greater.

3. Luke 19:5-9

Under grace, the more we give generously and freely. Salvation is instant because it was already done by Jesus.

4. Luke 5:4-6

The goodness of God will lead us to repentance.

When Abraham did wrong when he said that Sarai was his sister, the pharoah received a plague. Does it mean that God was on the side of the wrong? No! It was because God had promised Abraham. It also happened to Abimilech.

Under grace, our sins and iniquities will not be remembered by God. Whoever shall bless us will be blessed and whoever will curse us will be cursed.

Knowing all these things, then are we free to sin? Romans 6:14 says that sin shall not have dominion over us for we are not under the law but under grace. In Hebrews 9:12, Jesus entered into the Holy Place only once having obtained eternal redemption for us by His own blood. In Hebrews 10:14, Jesus had perfected our salvation to those who are sanctified for by one offering.

Once you are saved, you are forever saved.

In Christ Alone, By His Grace Alone, Through Faith Alone

The slogan “In Christ Alone, By His Grace Alone, Through Faith Alone” captures the very heart of the Gospel message and the foundation upon which FFIM-PCF/BWGMI stands. It is not merely a phrase for inspiration; it is a declaration of our identity, mission, and hope. Each part of this statement holds profound meaning for our lives and ministry.

In Christ Alone reminds us that Jesus Christ is the sole foundation of our faith. He is not one of many paths to God—He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). No tradition, no human merit, and no religious effort can add to what Christ has already accomplished on the cross. His sacrifice is complete, His resurrection is victorious, and His lordship is eternal. For us as a fellowship, this truth keeps our focus fixed on Him as the center of our worship, the reason for our service, and the message we proclaim to the world. Christ is not simply part of our mission—He is our mission.

By His Grace Alone declares that everything we have in our spiritual life is a gift from God. Grace means unmerited favor—it is God’s goodness given to us even when we deserve the opposite. Ephesians 2:8–9 reminds us that salvation is not the result of works, so no one can boast. This truth humbles us and shapes our ministry, for we realize that every answered prayer, every open door, every transformed life is the result of God’s grace. As a church and fellowship, this means we serve not out of pride or self-reliance but with gratitude and dependence on the One who has freely given us all things.

Through Faith Alone emphasizes that the only way to receive God’s grace and be united with Christ is by trusting Him completely. Faith is not just believing in the existence of God—it is placing our full confidence in Christ’s finished work on the cross and living in obedience to His Word. This truth calls us to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), holding on to God’s promises even when circumstances seem uncertain. As a fellowship, it inspires us to move forward in ministry with courage, knowing that our trust is anchored in a faithful God who never fails.

When we put these truths together—In Christ Alone, By His Grace Alone, Through Faith Alone—we see a complete picture of the Gospel: Christ is the source, grace is the means, and faith is the response. This is more than a doctrinal statement; it is a life posture. It shapes the way we worship, the way we serve, and the way we live each day. For FFIM-PCF/BWGMI, this slogan serves as both a reminder and a rallying cry: to proclaim Christ, to depend on His grace, and to live by faith until the day we see Him face to face.

FFIM-PCF/BWGMI Hosts UCLA Breakfast Fellowship
August 13, 2025

The FFIM-PCF/BWGMI warmly welcomed leaders and participants to the UCLA Breakfast Fellowship held today, August 13, 2025.

The event opened with Ptr. Teddy Songcuan delivering an inspiring exhortation from the Word of God. His message reminded everyone that we can only see God in Christ alone, by His grace alone, and through faith alone. Quoting Hebrews 10:14, Ptr. Teddy emphasized that none is holy by themselves — true holiness comes only through Christ. Because of His finished work, all our sins—past, present, and future—are forgiven, making us holy and able to see God. He encouraged everyone to believe in Jesus and the power of His grace, citing Romans 10:9 as a call to faith.

Bishop Mon Españo also delivered welcome remarks, challenging the fellowship to live out the Great Commission by healing the sick, cleansing lepers, and casting out demons.

The gathering began with a hearty breakfast of pandesal, suman, coffee, and more, followed by a powerful time of praise and worship led by the FFIM-PCF/BWGMI Worship Team. Over 30 leaders and participants attended the event, making it a morning of spiritual refreshment and fellowship.

The fellowship concluded with a heartfelt prayer, leaving everyone encouraged to walk in faith and the grace of Jesus Christ.

FFIM-PCF/BWGMI Holds Quarterly Overnight Prayer Meeting, Centered on Faith and Grace

The FFIM-PCF/BWGMI community came together once again for its quarterly Overnight Prayer Meeting from 9:00 PM on July 25 to the early hours of July 26, filling the sanctuary with worship, reflection, and deepened faith.

Held every quarter, the event gathered faithful members and newcomers alike for a night of spiritual renewal and intercession. Pastors from the fellowship delivered powerful messages from the Word of God, each one drawing hearts back to the foundation of Christian belief.

Culminating the evening was Pastor Teddy Songcuan, who delivered an impactful message on the theme:
“CGF – In Christ Alone, By Grace Alone, Through Faith Alone.”
His sermon highlighted the core of the Gospel, reminding everyone that salvation is a gift — not earned, but freely given by God, accessible through personal faith in Jesus Christ.

Throughout the night, attendees were engaged in collective worship, small group prayers, and moments of silence for personal reflection. Many left the gathering with renewed strength, deeper understanding, and hearts stirred for what God is doing in their lives and the church community.

The next Overnight Prayer Meeting is scheduled for the last Friday of October, and everyone is warmly invited to attend — whether a long-time member or someone simply seeking God’s presence.
