On the first Saturday of October, we chose to set aside time to ๐‘บ๐’†๐’†๐’Œ ๐‘ฎ๐’๐’…, ๐‘บ๐’–๐’“๐’“๐’†๐’๐’…๐’†๐’“, ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐‘น๐’†๐’๐’†๐’˜ ๐‘ถ๐’–๐’“ ๐‘ญ๐’‚๐’Š๐’•๐’‰. Through prayer and fasting, we made room for God to speak, strengthen, and realign our hearts with His purpose. ๐Ÿฉต

๐’๐ฎ๐ง๐๐š๐ฒ ๐’๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐œ๐ž ๐‡๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฌ | ๐…๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐’๐ฎ๐ง๐๐š๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐Ž๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿฉต

There are desires we carry in our hearts, prayers we keep bringing to God, and things we deeply hope to see happen. But this Sunday, we were reminded that receiving the desires of our hearts begins not with getting what we want, but with learning to delight ourselves in the One who knows our hearts best.

Psalm 37:4โ€“6 gave us three simple reminders: ๐’…๐’†๐’๐’Š๐’ˆ๐’‰๐’• ๐’Š๐’ ๐‘ฎ๐’๐’…, ๐’•๐’“๐’–๐’”๐’• ๐‘ฏ๐’Š๐’Ž ๐’˜๐’Š๐’•๐’‰ ๐’˜๐’‰๐’‚๐’• ๐’š๐’๐’– ๐’…๐’†๐’”๐’Š๐’“๐’†, ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐’๐’†๐’• ๐‘ฏ๐’Š๐’Ž ๐’‰๐’‚๐’๐’…๐’๐’† ๐’š๐’๐’–๐’“ ๐’๐’‚๐’Ž๐’† ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐’“๐’†๐’‘๐’–๐’•๐’‚๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’. We do not have to force what God has not yet given or prove ourselves to everyone around us. We can surrender, trust, and allow Him to work in His own way and in His perfect time.
