“Tubig ng Buhay” reminds us that there is a thirst within every human heart that the world cannot completely satisfy.

We may search for comfort, success, relationships, recognition, or material things, but there will always be moments when we realize that something deeper is missing. Jesus offers Himself as the Living Water—the source that refreshes not only our circumstances, but our souls.

Sometimes, God allows us to experience dryness, loneliness, or uncertainty so we can recognize how much we truly need Him. Like water to a thirsty person, His presence gives us strength when we feel empty and hope when we feel lost.

The invitation is simple: come to Him. We don’t need to have everything figured out. We only need to open our hearts and allow Him to fill what the world cannot.

May we never forget that the greatest blessing is not simply receiving what we ask from God, but discovering that God Himself is enough.

“Huwag Kang Mangamba”

This song reminds us that fear does not have the final word when we place our trust in God.

There are moments when life feels uncertain, when we don’t know what tomorrow will bring, when problems seem bigger than our strength, or when we feel like we are walking through a season we cannot understand. In those moments, God does not promise that we will never experience difficulties. Instead, He reminds us that we do not have to face them alone.

The message of the song invites us to surrender our worries to God. Sometimes, we spend so much energy trying to control what is beyond our control that we forget to simply trust. Faith does not mean having all the answers. Faith means continuing to believe that God is present even when we cannot yet see where He is leading us.

The cross reminds us of this truth: God can bring hope even from suffering, and life even from what appears to be an ending. What feels like a closed door today may become the beginning of something God is preparing for us.

So when fear comes, let us pause and pray:

“Lord, I may not understand what is happening, but I choose to trust You. Take away my fears, strengthen my faith, and remind me that I am never alone.”

May "Huwag Kang Mangamba" become more than a song we sing. May it become a prayer we live, especially on the days when we are afraid and when we doubt his presence in our lives..

Gandang sinauna a song reminding us that no matter how far we wander, God patiently waits for us. When we finally encounter Him, we realize He was never absent,we were simply looking in the wrong places.

One line beautifully captures the song’s heart:

“Tapat Kang nanahan sa ’king kalooban, ngunit hinahanap pa rin kahit saan.”

In simple words: “Lord, You were always in my heart, but I kept searching for You everywhere else.” That realization is the heart of Gandang Sinauna at Sariwa, God is the timeless Beauty our souls have always been longing for.

The Lord’s Prayer is more than a prayer to memorize, it is a way of life.

My beloved child,

Come to Me just as you are. You do not need perfect words, only an open heart. When you call My Father your Father, you are never an orphan. You belong to My family.

Do not carry tomorrow’s burdens before they arrive. I will give you what you need for today. Trust that I am working even when you cannot see My hand.

Forgive those who have wounded you, just as I have forgiven you. Let go of bitterness, for forgiveness sets your own heart free.

What does God’s love mean to you today?
- A testimony from Alexa Reine Soriano

There was a time when I focused so much on the things I lacked that I almost forgot to see the countless blessings God had already placed in my life. But as I look back today, I realize that every breath in my lungs and every peaceful thought in my mind is a reminder of His unfailing love.

God’s love is the reason I am still here today. He has sustained me through seasons of uncertainty, protected me from dangers I never even knew existed, and carried me through moments when I felt weak. Every day I wake up, I am grateful that I can see my family, my friends, and the people I love. These simple moments are gifts that I should never take for granted.

His love is more than just a feeling, it is a living presence. I experience it in the laughter I share with friends, the peace I find at home, the kindness of others, and the quiet assurance that I never have to walk through life alone. Even when I fall short, He meets me with mercy, forgives my sins, and gives me another opportunity to become the person He created me to be.

When I reached a point where I questioned the people and relationships around me, I prayed for one thing: the gift of discernment. God answered that prayer. He opened my eyes to recognize what brought peace into my life and what slowly pulled me away from Him. He gave me the courage to let go of relationships and connections that were never meant to remain part of my journey. What once felt like loss became protection, and what once felt like disappointment became part of His greater purpose.

Today, I no longer fear tomorrow because my future is not in my own hands,it is safely held in His. He continues to light my path, strengthen me in my weakest moments, and remind me that His plans are always greater than my own. His love gives me hope, purpose, and the confidence to keep moving forward, one step at a time.

No matter what season of life I am in, one truth remains unchanged: God has never left me, and He never will.

“Do You Still Believe?”
Our Gospel Sharing Story John 11:19–27

If God will test your faith are you ready? Are you?

There was a season in my life when I honestly thought God had forgotten me.

After spending long years working abroad, I came home to the Philippines with dreams that had fallen apart. I returned with no back up plan to speak of, no clear direction, and many questions. I had spent years building a career, only to watch everything falling apart right before my eyes, Like Martha, I found myself saying, “Lord, if only You had been here…”

If only You had prevented this.
If only You had opened another door.
If only You had answered my prayers the way I expected.

Things will be different...

But as I reflected on today’s Gospel, I realized something. Jesus didn’t immediately solve Martha’s problem. Before raising Lazarus, He first invited her to trust Him.

“I am the resurrection and the life… Do you believe this?” (John 11:25–26)

That question struck my heart.

Because faith isn’t tested when life is going well and easy. Faith is tested when nothing seems to make sense. And I feel that...

Looking back, I can now see that what I thought was the end of my story was actually the beginning of something deeper. Losing my plans, the life which I thought is right for me, brought me closer to God. It brought me back to serve God once again, to be with people who reminded me that I wasn’t alone, and to discovering that my identity was never meant to be built on a job or achievements, it was always meant to be rooted in Christ.

I still don’t have every answer and even now I am still trying to find my way. I still have dreams I’m praying for, things and people I'm learning to deal with. But today, my faith is no longer based on whether God gives me what I ask. My faith now is based on who He is in my life and with the people he will use to reveal my purpose.

I just realize now that, Jesus doesn’t remove our pain immediately. Sometimes He stands beside us in it and gently asks the same question He asked Martha:

“Do you believe this?” and If your prayers are unanswered, Would you still believe and glorify me?

And my answer is the same as Martha:

“Yes, Lord. I will.” It will be difficult, and I know I will struggle but Yes Lord, I will.

May we all learn to trust God’s heart even when we cannot yet see the answers to our prayers or even when things are not happening the way we want it to be...

Tinapay At Alak Naming Hatid

When I first heard this song, I thought it was simply about bringing bread and wine to the altar. But over time, I realized it was really asking a deeper question: What am I bringing to God today?

Every Sunday we watch the bread and wine being carried forward. It has become such a familiar part of the Mass that it’s easy to overlook what it represents. Yet the bread and wine begin as ordinary gifts, fruits of human labor and God’s creation.

It made me think about my own life. Most days, I don’t have anything extraordinary to offer. I bring my unfinished dreams, my mistakes, my worries about tomorrow, my gratitude for the blessings I’ve received, and the ordinary work I do each day.

Maybe that’s what this song is trying to remind us. God isn’t asking for perfection. He’s inviting us to place our whole lives on the altar with the bread and the wine.

“Tinapay at Alak, naming hatid.” Not just bread. Not just wine. But our joys, our struggles, our hopes, and our hearts.

Every Mass becomes a quiet reminder that even the simplest offering, when given with love, can become something beautiful in God’s hands. And perhaps that’s the invitation this song leaves with us, to never come before God empty-handed, but always with a willing heart.

Iesu Panis Vitae; It is a Latin phrase meaning “Jesus, the Bread of Life,” and it refers to the events in John 6, one of the most significant passages in the Gospel.

After Jesus miraculously fed more than 5,000 people with five loaves of bread and two fish, the crowds followed Him because they wanted more bread. Jesus used that moment to teach them something much deeper. He told them not to work only for food that fills the stomach but to seek the food that gives eternal life.

Then He made a surprising declaration:

“I am the Bread of Life. Whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.” (John 6:35)

The people struggled to understand what He meant. Later, Jesus explained that the bread He would give was His own flesh for the life of the world. Many found this teaching difficult and stopped following Him because they took His words literally and could not accept them.

Jesus did not change His teaching. Instead, He asked His twelve apostles if they also wanted to leave. Speaking for them, Peter answered:

“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

This discourse points directly to the Eucharist. At the Last Supper, Jesus fulfilled what He had promised when He took the bread, blessed it, broke it, and said, “This is my body.” Every Mass continues that gift, reminding believers that Jesus is not only someone to admire from a distance but the Bread of Life who nourishes them spiritually.

Iesu Panis Vitae is the story of Jesus inviting people to look beyond physical hunger and discover that the deepest hunger of the human heart can only be satisfied by Him.

Matthew 13: 44-52

Jesus said:

“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field, which a person finds and hides again, and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls. When he finds a pearl of great price, he goes and sells all that he has and buys it.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind… At the end of the age, the angels will separate the wicked from the righteous.”

A treasure chest always makes me wonder…

What if someone handed you an old map and said, “There’s a treasure buried somewhere out there.”

Would you believe it?

I probably wouldn’t. I’d overthink it. I’d ask for proof. I’d convince myself it wasn’t worth the risk.

But then I realized… life is kind of like that.

We spend so much time chasing things we hope will make us happy, a better job, more money, nicer things, more likes, more recognition. None of those are bad. I want many of those things too.

But every now and then, I ask myself, “What am I really chasing?”

Today’s Gospel talks about a man who found a treasure so valuable that everything else suddenly seemed small in comparison.

I don’t think the story is really about a chest full of gold.

I think it’s about those rare moments in life when you discover something that changes what you value.

For me, I’ve had a few of those moments.

They weren’t flashy. They happened during quiet prayers, serving at church, singing with people who genuinely care for one another, or simply realizing that even after difficult seasons, God never really let go of me.

Those moments didn’t make me rich.

But somehow, they made me feel like I had found something I never wanted to lose.

Maybe that’s what the real treasure looks like.

Jesus said:

“Whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave. Just so, the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

The Most Meaningful “Thank You” I Never Heard

There was a season in my life when I felt like nothing I did mattered.

I was always the one saying yes, helping when someone needed a hand, staying late after activities, checking on friends, doing small things that no one seemed to notice.

After a while, I became tired.

One day I caught myself thinking, “Maybe I should stop. No one would even notice if I disappeared for a while.”

A few weeks later, I unexpectedly met someone I hadn’t seen in years.

They smiled and said, “I don’t think you remember this, but when I was having a really difficult time, you stayed and listened to me after everyone else had gone home. You probably forgot about it… but I never did.”

Honestly, I had forgotten.

To me, it was just another ordinary conversation.

To them, it was the moment they felt they weren’t alone.

That encounter changed how I see service.

We often think we’re making the biggest difference when we’re doing something extraordinary. But most of the time, God works through the quiet things, the phone call we almost didn’t make, the apology we finally offered, the chair we helped carry, the person we chose to listen to.

Today’s Gospel reminds me that Jesus never chased recognition. He simply loved and served, trusting that every act of love mattered.

Maybe we won’t always see the impact of our kindness.

But that doesn’t mean God isn’t using it.

So today, I’ll try to worry less about being appreciated and more about being available. Sometimes the smallest act of service becomes the answer to someone else’s prayer.
