AUGUST – ALTAR SERVERS’ MONTH

Isang taos-pusong pasasalamat sa lahat ng Lingkod ng Dambana, lalo na sa Ministry of Altar Servers – Christ the King Parish, sa inyong kababaang-loob, sigasig, at tapat na paglilingkod sa altar ng Panginoon. Sa pagtatapos ng ating buwan ng pagdiriwang, nawa’y manatili sa ating puso ang apoy ng pananampalataya at pagmamahal sa Banal na Eukaristiya.

Ang inyong dedikasyon at halimbawa ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon hindi lamang sa kapwa lingkod kundi sa buong sambayanan ng ating parokya. Tunay kayong tinawag at isinugo upang maglingkod nang may buong puso.

In our second Kumustahan Session, the officers finalized the master list and ranks of each member, ensuring order and clarity within the ministry. The meeting also focused on preparations for the Culminating Activity of Altar Servers’ Month, marking another step toward unity, service, and a meaningful celebration.

Solemn Celebration of the Feast of Saint Tarcisius

In commemoration of the Feast of Saint Tarcisius, Patron of Altar Servers, which is celebrated on August 15, the Ministry of Altar Servers of Christ the King Parish solemnly observed the occasion on August 16, 2025 through a day of reflection, recognition, and renewed commitment to service.

The celebration was marked by the Installation of Officers and Chapel Ministry Coordinators, who were formally entrusted with their respective responsibilities as stewards and leaders of the ministry. Their installation signifies a new chapter of service founded on humility, faithfulness, and dedication to the altar.

A highlight of the event was the Awarding Ceremony of the Grand Knight, wherein altar servers who have rendered ten years or more of faithful service were given due recognition. This honor is a testament to their unwavering devotion, exemplary leadership, and enduring commitment to the Church and the Eucharist.

As we honor the life and martyrdom of Saint Tarcisius, we are reminded of our sacred duty to uphold the dignity of our ministry with reverence and love. May his example continue to inspire all altar servers to serve with courage, purity of heart, and steadfast faith.

Today, we honor the Memorial of St. Tarcisius of Rome, Martyr of the Blessed Sacrament.

A young servant of the Lord, St. Tarcisius gave his life to protect the Holy Eucharist, becoming a shining example of courage, faith, and love for Christ.

May his witness inspire us to cherish the gift of the Blessed Sacrament and serve with the same devotion.

O Sacrament most Holy,
O Sacrament Divine,
all praise and all thanksgiving
be every moment Thine.
