May God the Father who made us bless us.
May God the Son send his healing among us.
May God the Holy Spirit move within us and give us eyes to see with, ears to hear with, and hands that work might be done. May we walk and preach the word of God to all.
May the angel of peace watch over us and lead us at last by God’s grace to the kingdom. Amen.

O God, whose Son called Lazarus to life from the grave,
and was pleased to be welcomed in Martha’s house as a guest,
grant, we pray,
that, serving faithfully our brothers and sisters,
we may merit, with Mary, to be fed by meditating on your words.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

Let us pray.

O glorious Saint Mary Magdalene, you heard from the loving lips of Jesus that your many sins were forgiven because you loved much. Pour out your love at His sacred feet on our behalf. Your tears of repentance and love obtained for you the pardon of your sins and the joy of beholding the Risen Lord on Easter morning.

Surely, dear Saint, He who refused nothing to your love on earth will graciously grant us the blessings we humbly seek through your intercession. Amen.

Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel and bowed down to the earth, putting his face between his knees. ‘Now go up,’ he told his servant ‘and look out to sea,’ He went up and looked. ‘There is nothing at all,’ he said. ‘Go back seven times,’ Elijah told said. When the appointed time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born a subject of the Law to redeem the subjects of the Law and to enable us to be adopted as sons. The proof that you are sons of God is that God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts: the Spirit that cries, ‘Abba, Father,’ and it is this that makes you a son, you are not a slave anymore; and if God has made you son, then he has made you heir.

Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. Seeing his mother and the disciple he loved standing near her, Jesus said to his mother, ‘Woman, this is your son.’ Then to the disciple he said, ‘This is your mother.’ And from that moment the disciple made a place for her in his home.

Let us pray.

St. Veronica, through your compassion, you comforted our Lord on His way to Calvary and received the miraculous image of His Holy Face upon your veil. Pray for us, that the Holy Face of Christ may be imprinted upon our hearts, inspiring us to love Him, serve others with charity, and remain faithful to Him always. May we seek His face in the poor, the suffering, and in all whom we meet.

Saint Veronica, pray for us. Amen.

Sharing the enhanced version of a 1990 photograph taken by Raymundo Feliciano at the Apung Mamacalulu Shrine.

If this is indeed the old Santo Domingo of Angeles City that was reportedly lost in the fire, this restored photograph offers a much clearer view of its features and craftsmanship. It is also evident that the escultura closely matches the style and appearance of the antique processional images of Pisamban Maragul, particularly in its carving, facial features, proportions, and overall treatment.

It is our hope that this restored photograph will encourage further discussion and contribute to the preservation of another important piece of Angeles City's history and the rich heritage of our parish. Any additional information, photographs, or personal recollections about this image would be sincerely appreciated.

Could this be the old Santo Domingo image of Angeles City?

These photos were taken in 1990 by Raymundo Feliciano at the Apung Mamacalulu Shrine.

Fourteen years ago, he commented: "You will not see this Santo anymore. A fire gutted the area behind the Santo Entierro, and this Santo reportedly perished."

If that is indeed the case, it could explain why a new image was commissioned for the La Naval Fiesta procession.
