Today, we gather as one family in Christ here at Imbo UMC to honor and remember our loved ones who have gone ahead of us to be with the Lord. Their legacy of faith, love, and service continues to live in our hearts and in the life of our church family. We thank God for the gift of their lives, the memories we hold, and the blessed hope that we will one day be reunited in His presence.

As we partake in the Holy Communion, we are reminded of Christ’s love that conquers death and His promise of eternal life. In this sacred moment, we celebrate not only the lives of those we remember, but also the grace of our Savior who walks with us through grief and into hope. May this time strengthen our faith, bring peace to our hearts, and remind us that in Christ, love and life are everlasting.

Today, at Imbo UMC, we come together for World Communion Sunday, a day where we share a sacred meal that transcends boundaries and unites us in faith. As we partake in this symbolic act, we are reminded of the universal love and fellowship that binds us as one global community. It's a time to reflect on our shared humanity and the importance of compassion and understanding in a world that often feels divided.

In addition to celebrating our spiritual connection, we also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible teachers of Imbo UMC on this World Teacher's Day. These dedicated individuals pour their hearts and souls into shaping the minds of our youth, guiding them with patience, wisdom, and unwavering support. Their impact extends far beyond the classroom, nurturing not only academic growth but also character development and a lifelong love of learning. As a token of our appreciation, we offer gifts as a small symbol of the immense value they bring to our community.

On this Father's Day, we honor and celebrate Jesus Christ as the ultimate example of loving, sacrificial, and eternal Father's care for us all and aside from that Imbo United Methodist Church warmly celebrated Fathers’ Day this year with a heartfelt service honoring the significant role of fathers in our families and community. The celebration was filled with love, recognition, and a deep understanding of the sacrifices made by fathers in their daily lives. Led by the church’s congregation, children, and youth, the event fostered a spirit of unity, thanksgiving, and happiness for all fathers present.

As a manifestation of our collective appreciation, tokens of love were presented to each father, alongside certificates and medals in recognition of their diligence, care, and guidance. These tokens symbolize immense thanks for their continued support and understanding, affirming their role as earthly models reflecting God’s unfailing care for us all. The certificates highlight their contributions to their families’ well-being, while the medals serve as a symbol of honoring their character and service.

The celebration was a wonderful opportunity for us to come together, appreciate the men who influence us profoundly, and celebrate their ongoing guidance and kindness. The stories shared, the prayers offered, and the sincere expressions of thanks made this Fathers’ Day a truly special moment in the life of Imbo UMC, strengthening both the bonds within the church and within our families.

Imbo United Methodist Church (UMC) proudly joined the Brigada Eskwela 2025 initiative at Imbo Elementary School, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to community service and education. Under the leadership of Rev. Danilo Olermo, church members actively participated in the school's preparation efforts, contributing their time, energy, and resources to ensure that students have a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the upcoming school year.

The collaboration with Imbo Elementary School was marked by a spirit of unity and shared purpose, as volunteers from Imbo UMC worked hand in hand with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders. Their presence and enthusiasm during the Brigada Eskwela not only boosted morale but also highlighted the church’s role as a proactive and compassionate partner in local development and youth empowerment.

As part of our contribution, Imbo UMC donated 10 whisk brooms (Walis tambo) to support the school’s cleaning and maintenance needs. This thoughtful gesture reflects the church’s dedication to practical assistance and its belief that even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful impact. The school community expressed heartfelt gratitude for the church’s generosity and solidarity, further strengthening the bond between the church and the school.
