Sunday Highlights | OBEDIENCE OVER CONVENIENCE
1st Sunday
Deuteronomy 1:3–8
Message Highlights:
● Obedience often requires leaving places of comfort, security, and familiarity to follow God's direction.
● Mount Horeb was a place of preparation, rest, and honor, but God called His people to move forward into His greater purpose.
● God's blessings and promises are experienced when we choose obedience over convenience.
● Sometimes God calls us out of our comfort zone through a desire for spiritual breakthrough, new assignments, and deeper growth.
● Our obedience and patience are often tested before God leads us into the next season.
● Spiritual maturity requires discipline, discernment, and a stronger dependence on the Holy Spirit.
● Obedience is not merely enduring inconvenience—it is responding to God's call even when there is no guarantee of comfort or certainty.
God never calls us to stay where we are forever. There comes a time when He asks us to leave what is comfortable and trust Him with what is ahead. Though obedience may be difficult, it always leads us closer to His purpose, His promises, and the life He has prepared for us.
