VCS Day 2 ✨

More smiles, more laughter, and even more little hearts joined us today. 💛

We’re so happy to see our attendance growing. Each child is a reminder of why we reach out to our community: so more children will be blessed and feel God’s love.

For our first-time learners, this is also a beautiful step in learning to socialize and prepare for the coming school year.

Thank you to our snack sponsors,
Redado/Balce Family, for your generosity! 💖

UCCP Talon warmly invites all children in our community to our Vacation Church School (VCS) 2026, happening for one week starting this Monday, April 27.

With this year’s theme, “Ako ay kawangis ng Diyos” (I am made in the image of God), we will journey together in helping our children discover their God-given worth, identity, and purpose through stories, songs, and meaningful activities.

Let us guide our children to see themselves as God sees them—loved, valued, and wonderfully made.

Join us and be blessed! ✨💛

By God’s grace, our VCS teachers have completed their training at UCCP Amadeo. 💛
As they go forth in this ministry, may they be filled with wisdom, patience, and love. Together as a church, let us journey with them in prayer and support, believing that God will move in the hearts of every child they will serve.

A night of worship where every song becomes a declaration of hope, every melody a reminder that we are not alone. Through music, we are invited to lay down our burdens, be strengthened in spirit, and believe again that there is a God who sees, who cares, and who will carry us through every storm.

UCCP Talon Resurrection Sunday Celebration 🤍✨

This morning’s Easter fellowship became a living testimony of the Resurrection expressed through community, joy, and shared experience—where stories are exchanged, hearts are nourished, and the presence of the Risen Christ is made tangible among us.

Indeed, Easter is not only proclaimed from the pulpit, but embodied in our daily lives, and in the life of the church—through joy, participation, and the powerful work of building community together. 💕

Earlier in our Easter worship,
we welcomed the new morning filled with the light of the Resurrection—a sacred invitation to leave behind the darkness of yesterday and embrace the new life God freely offers.

As we gathered in praise, we also receive our new confirmands (those who have completed their confirmation and now stand affirmed in faith), as part of the growing body of Christ. Their presence reminds us that the Church continues to live, to grow, and to hope, like the rising dawn that brings renewal, transformation, and a deeper commitment to walk in the way of Christ.

“He is not here; He has risen—hope is alive, and love has won.” ✨

Blessed Easter! 🤍

Today, on Black Saturday, we enter a time of quiet mourning and deep reflection. The Savior lies in the tomb, and the world seems shrouded in silence and grief. It is a moment to remember the cost of our salvation—the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus, who bore our sins and took upon Himself the weight of the world.

Black Saturday reminds us that even in silence and waiting, God’s love is present. In this stillness, we are called to reflect on our own lives, on the Anawim—the poor, the marginalized, the forgotten—and how we can embody Christ’s compassion and hope.

Just as the disciples waited in sorrow, we too are invited to a holy pause: a moment of prayer, humility, and trust in God’s unfolding plan.

May this day strengthen our faith, deepen our gratitude, and prepare our hearts to celebrate the victory of Easter, when the tomb is empty and hope is restored.

This Lent, our youth in Confirmation Class have journeyed deeply into the mission and history of the Church, the UCCP Statement of Faith, and the significance of our liturgy. They reflected on the sacraments of Communion and Baptism, reminders of Christ’s boundless love and the faith entrusted to us.

Beyond learning, they were challenged to live as true disciples—standing with the Anawim, the poor, the marginalized, and those often overlooked, being light in darkness, hands to the needy, and hearts that carry compassion, humility, and integrity in every action.

We grateful to the Committee on Christian Education and Nurture for guiding this meaningful activity, for investing time, wisdom, and love in nurturing our youth.

May the lessons learned during this Lenten season inspire our young people to walk boldly in faith, serve selflessly, and reflect the love of Christ in every corner of their lives.
