A time of re-evaluation. 🤍

Have you ever stopped and asked yourself:

“What am I holding onto that is keeping me from fully pursuing Christ?”

Sometimes it’s not always bad things.

Sometimes it’s the things we value most.

Our comfort.
Our plans.
Our relationships.
Our career.
Our reputation.
Our achievements.
Our talents.
Our security.
Our money.
Even the version of life we imagined for ourselves.

The truth is, anything we place above Jesus can quietly become something we struggle to surrender.

His plan is always better than our own.
Even when we don't understand the process, His ways lead to life, peace, and purpose far beyond what we could create for ourselves.

Paul understood this deeply. He had status, education, influence, and accomplishments.
Yet he came to this realization:

None of it compares to the surpassing value of knowing Christ. ❤️

Not even close.

Because there is greater joy in Jesus than anything this world can offer.
Greater peace than success can give.
Greater security than money can provide.
Greater purpose than comfort can promise.

Following Christ will sometimes require letting go.But whatever we lose for Him will never compare to what we gain in Him. ✝️

May we also be able to say:

“I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord...” — Philippians 3:8

What is God asking you to let go of today?

Did you know that Jesus already set you FREE?
Yet so many of us keep walking back into the prison cells He already opened. 🚪

Where have you become a slave again?

To fear?
To sin?
To comfort?
To approval?
To the version of life that feels safe but keeps you bound?

Sometimes bo***ge doesn’t come from chains forced on us, sometimes it comes from the things we choose because they feel familiar. 💔

But Jesus didn’t die for you to live trapped.

Through the cross, He shattered the system of sin, shame, striving, and fear so you could be adopted into the family of God. ❤️‍🔥

When He declared, “It is finished,” He wasn’t just ending His suffering, He was ending the power of the chains that held you captive.

You no longer have to fight for His love.

You no longer have to carry weights He already carried for you.

You no longer have to settle for less than the freedom He paid for.

So why go back to the cell when the door is already open?

You were not created to survive in bo***ge.
You were created to walk in freedom, identity, and grace. 🌟

One of the hardest things to do is to let go. We tend to repeat the pain of the past betrayal or failure, so we choose to hold tightly to what feels safer than facing the unknown. 🕳️

But breaking this cycle of fear is required to really Surrender. 🙌🏼

Trusting again is not Defeat but Peace.
Trusting again is not Danger but a Room for Grace.

So do not fear, for I am with you..." — Isaiah 41:10

It is hard to let go when we look at our own strength. But when we look at His track record, surrender becomes the safest choice we can make. 💯

God has never broken a promise.
He has never arrived late.
He has never abandoned you.
He has been entirely faithful in the past.

That means we can completely trust Him with our unknown future. ❤️‍🔥

Mark 10:22 NIV
At this the man’s face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth.

Just like the wealthy man the verse 22, he wanted eternal life, but he was not willing to pay the price of surrendering his wealth and comfort.

He walked away grieved because Jesus exposed the true master of his life.

Today, maybe the Lord is asking us the same question:

What are you unwilling to surrender?
What occupies your heart the most?
What is God asking you to let go so you can fully follow Him?

Ever feel like life is just pulling you in a million directions? 🧭

You are not alone. ❤️

Hebrews 12 reminds us that faith is not a sprint — it's a marathon. And to keep running well, we must learn to let go of the weights, distractions, habits, and sins that keep slowing us down.

The heroes of faith proved one thing:
God is faithful through every season. 🙌🏼

Sometimes, the very thing we keep holding onto is the very thing hindering us from moving forward into God's purpose.

But here's the good news: 📖
God has already marked out a path for you.
A purpose.
A calling.
A race worth running.

So throw off what's weighing your heart down, fix your eyes on Him, and run with endurance. 💪🏼

What is one "weight" God may be asking you to release today?

Let's encourage one another in the comments below. 👇

For the next on Series!

CWA's RealTalk — a brave space where faith meets real life.
Our focus isn’t on condemnation but on growth and restoration.

We will be diving into our Series all about Letting Go. Are you ready to drop the weight? 🎒

It is hard to run a race when you are carrying heavy luggage. It is so easy to get caught up in yesterday’s mistakes or "what-ifs," but God is constantly calling us forward.

Today, let’s make a deliberate choice to let go of the past and strain toward what is ahead. ➡️

"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV)
