God will let you walk into uncomfortable situations where all you can do is rely on Him. These moments are rarely what we would choose for ourselves. They stretch us, unsettle us, and expose the limits of our control. Yet God allows them not to harm us, but to draw us closer. When comfort is stripped away, dependence becomes clearer. And in that dependence, faith grows stronger.

Uncomfortable situations have a way of revealing where our trust truly rests. When plans fail, resources feel thin, or answers don’t come quickly, we are faced with a choice: panic or pray, strive or surrender. God sometimes leads us into places where self-reliance no longer works so that we can experience the depth of His provision. These seasons teach us that God is not just an addition to our strength—He is the source of it.

Don’t be anxious. Anxiety often comes from trying to manage outcomes that were never meant to be carried alone. When God allows discomfort, it is not because He has stepped away, but because He is stepping closer. He is inviting you to release control and trust His presence. Anxiety fades when trust takes its place—not because circumstances instantly change, but because your confidence shifts to God’s faithfulness.

God does not abandon you in uncomfortable places. He meets you there. He walks ahead of you, stands beside you, and strengthens you from within. What feels uncertain to you is already known to Him. He sees the end from the beginning and understands exactly what this season is producing in you. Nothing about it is accidental.

Often, these moments are where God’s faithfulness becomes undeniable. When all you can do is rely on Him, you begin to see how sufficient He truly is. Provision shows up at the right time. Peace settles where fear once ruled. Strength appears when you feel depleted. God proves Himself not just capable, but faithful—again and again.

Uncomfortable situations also reshape perspective. They remind you that security is not found in predictability, but in God’s presence. They loosen your grip on control and deepen your trust in Him. What once felt threatening becomes a testimony. What once felt unbearable becomes evidence of God’s sustaining grace.

Don’t be anxious if you feel stretched right now. Stretching often precedes growth. God is expanding your capacity so that you can carry what comes next without being crushed by it. He prepares the heart before He changes the circumstance. What feels difficult now is often making room for greater peace later.

God is about to show you He is faithful—not always in dramatic ways, but in steady ones. You’ll notice it in the calm that replaces panic, in the guidance that comes step by step, and in the assurance that you are not alone. His faithfulness may not remove the challenge immediately, but it will sustain you through it completely.

If you’re walking through something uncomfortable, let it draw you closer rather than push you into fear. Lean into God instead of away from Him. Trust that He knows what He’s doing, even when you don’t. These moments are not signs of abandonment—they are invitations to deeper trust.

God will let you walk into uncomfortable situations where all you can do is rely on Him. Don’t be anxious. This is often where His faithfulness shines brightest. And when you look back, you’ll realize that the very place you felt weakest became the place where God proved Himself strongest.

Joy, as God gives it, is not shallow happiness or a fleeting emotion tied to circumstances. It doesn’t disappear when life becomes heavy or uncertain. God’s joy is deeper than what’s happening around you—it is rooted in who He is and in His nearness to you. That’s why it can exist even in seasons of pain, loss, or waiting.

In the good times, joy feels natural. It rises easily when prayers are answered, doors open, and life feels aligned. But God never intended joy to be reserved only for those moments. His joy is meant to sustain you when strength runs low—when answers are delayed, when the path is unclear, and when your heart feels tired from carrying more than it should.

There are seasons when smiling feels forced and optimism feels out of reach. In those moments, God’s joy doesn’t ask you to pretend everything is fine. It meets you honestly, right where you are. It becomes the quiet assurance that you are not alone. The steady reminder that this season will not last forever. The inner strength that keeps you moving forward even when you don’t feel strong.

God’s joy carries you when circumstances try to break you. It steadies your heart when emotions fluctuate. It reminds you that pain does not have the final word and that suffering is never wasted in God’s hands. Joy doesn’t erase hardship—it gives you the endurance to walk through it without losing hope.

Sometimes joy looks like peace instead of excitement.
Sometimes it looks like endurance instead of celebration.
Sometimes it looks like getting up one more day and trusting God again.

God’s joy protects your spirit from despair. It guards your heart against bitterness. It keeps you from being defined by what hurts you. When you lean into God’s joy, you discover strength you didn’t know you had—not because the situation changed, but because God met you in it.

This joy grows when you stay connected to God. Through prayer. Through gratitude. Through remembering His faithfulness in the past. Joy strengthens as trust deepens. The more you rely on God, the more His joy becomes a steady presence rather than a temporary feeling.

God’s joy is not fragile. It is resilient. It holds you steady when life feels unstable. It reminds you that even in the valley, God is still good, still present, and still working.

So when the tough days come—and they will—don’t assume joy has left you. It may simply be working quietly, giving you the strength to endure, the courage to trust, and the hope to keep going.

God’s joy isn’t just for the good times.
It’s the strength that carries you through the tough ones.

Anxiety thrives on one core belief: things are spiraling out of control.

We watch news headlines, monitor bank accounts, track health symptoms, and feel the weight of all the variables we can't manage. The illusion of control slips through our fingers daily, leaving us exhausted from trying to hold it all together.

Consider Paul's confidence: "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). Not "some things" or "the things we understand"—ALL things. Even the hard things. Even the confusing things. Even the things that hurt.

The circumstances may feel out of control. But they're not out of HIS control. And that changes everything.

There is a profound difference between authority and influence. A title might make you a boss, but your people decide if you’re a leader. Authority is granted by an organization through a business card or an office door, but leadership is an elective status bestowed upon you by those you serve.

True leadership is earned in the quiet moments—through consistent integrity, active listening, and standing up for your team when it matters most. You don't become a leader by demanding respect; you become one by giving it. When you prioritize the growth and well-being of others, they don't just work for you—they believe in you.

After our son passed, our world shattered. My other kiddos were hurting, too, and the pressure to be the “good mom” in the middle of my own grief was the hardest role ever. I missed our old life, the noise, the mess, the happiness. I missed River’s cars lined up on the floor, his silly little voice, the morning snuggles with chocolate milk, and his wild bedhead hair sticking up in every direction.

Grief never moved in linear stages for me. It zigzagged through guilt, anger, and sadness, catching me off guard in the most inopportune moments. I didn’t have words for what I was feeling. I was just a mom with swollen eyes trying to make it to the end of the aisle or the end of the day.

Looking back, I can now see a truth I couldn’t see before: None of those tears was wasted.

God’s Word promises that He has “kept count of my tossings; put my tears in [His] bottle” (Psalm 56:8a).

Every tear mattered. What comfort it gave me to be seen and remembered by the God who keeps count of our tossings. What felt shattered beyond repair was already being gathered by the One who heals the brokenhearted.

I tried so hard to feel like myself again, to show up and be present. But the memories — the trauma loop — would often assault my thoughts, and my heartache seemed louder in the midst of others’ joy.

If you’re in a place where just getting out of bed feels like a victory, take heart. You’re doing it, and you have permission to go at your own pace. Give yourself the same patience and grace God extends to you.

Healing isn’t a race to the finish; it’s a gentle becoming as we are held by the hands of a faithful God until every tear is finally wiped away.

Where have you felt the weight of trying to feel normal again, and how might God be inviting you to rest instead of strive?

Faith over fear in 2026 💪

Not always in the way I expected, not always on the timeline I wanted, and not always wrapped in comfort—but always in faithfulness. There were days I hoped for miracles and received strength instead. Days I asked for answers and was given peace. Days I prayed for the situation to change and discovered that God was changing me. Looking back, I can see that His provision was rarely loud, but it was always present.

God came through in the days I had enough—and in the days I barely did. He came through in closed doors that later revealed themselves as protection. He came through in delays that saved me from rushing into things I wasn’t ready to carry. He came through in people who showed up at the right moment, in words that steadied my heart, in grace that met me when I was exhausted.

There were moments when it didn’t feel like He had come through at all. Moments when prayers seemed unanswered and silence felt heavy. But time has a way of revealing what faith cannot yet see. Even in those seasons, God was working beneath the surface—sustaining me, guiding me, holding me together when I didn’t realize how fragile I was.

Faithfulness doesn’t always look like getting everything we ask for. Often, it looks like making it through. Waking up again. Finding the courage to keep going. Being carried through valleys we thought would break us. God’s consistency is not proven by ease, but by presence.

When I look back over my life, I don’t see perfection or uninterrupted joy. I see a pattern of mercy. I see evidence of a God who did not abandon me, even when I doubted, even when I wandered, even when I was afraid. Every day stands as quiet testimony: God showed up.

And that is why I trust Him with tomorrow.

So often we pray with hope, but wait with hesitation. We ask God to move, to open doors, to heal, to restore—but deep down, we’re not always prepared for what it will look like when He actually does. We pray for change, yet grow comfortable with the familiar. We pray for growth, yet resist the stretching it requires. We pray for blessings, yet don’t always prepare our hearts to steward them well.

God’s answers don’t always arrive dramatically. Sometimes they come quietly, disguised as opportunity, responsibility, or invitation. Other times they arrive in ways that require courage instead of comfort. Being ready means more than believing God can answer—it means positioning yourself to respond when He does.

Don’t be surprised when God answers in a way that challenges you. An open door may require you to walk away from what feels safe. A healed relationship may require humility and forgiveness. A new season may require you to release old habits, patterns, or people. God’s answers often carry responsibility, and readiness is what keeps blessing from becoming burden.

Being ready also means aligning your life with what you’re praying for. If you’re praying for peace, prepare your heart to let go of chaos. If you’re praying for growth, prepare to be stretched. If you’re praying for purpose, prepare to serve. God answers prayers in alignment with obedience, not just desire.

Sometimes we are surprised because we prayed casually instead of expectantly. We spoke words without fully believing God would respond. But faith prepares space. Faith watches. Faith stays alert. Faith believes that when God answers, it will be right on time—even if it looks different than expected.

God is faithful. He hears prayers whispered in faith and spoken through tears. He remembers the prayers you forgot you prayed. And when the answer comes, it may feel sudden—but it was never rushed. God was working long before you noticed.

So don’t just pray and wait—pray and prepare. Prepare your heart. Prepare your obedience. Prepare your gratitude. When God answers, let Him find you ready, not resistant. Expectant, not shocked. Willing, not afraid.

Don’t be surprised when God answers your prayer.
Be ready to receive it.
