The Buenavista Grand Parade 2026 was more than just a march—it was a beautiful display of unity, purpose, and the unwavering spirit of our community.

With the participation of our dedicated Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and Local Community Groups, the streets came alive with vibrant colors, enthusiastic cheers, and a shared commitment to serving Buenavista. Every banner raised and every step taken reflected the strength of a community that stands together.

As part of the 89th Parochial Fiesta Celebration of Santiago de Buenavista, this year's Grand Parade reminded us that our greatest strength lies in our unity and collective spirit.

To everyone who participated, supported, and celebrated with us—thank you for making this event a memorable success. Here's to continuing the tradition of service, solidarity, and pride in the years to come.

The faithful gathered in joyful thanksgiving as the Parish of Santiago de Buenavista celebrated the Feast Day of Señor Santiago Apostol through a series of Holy Masses, highlighted by the Concelebrated Mass led by Most Rev. Cosme Damian R. Almedilla, D.D.

United in prayer and devotion, parishioners, devotees, and guests marked the 89th Parochial Fiesta with hearts full of gratitude, honoring the patron saint and celebrating the enduring faith of the community.

𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗛𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡

Faithful devotees filled the streets of Buenavista on July 24 as the Parish of Saint James the Greater held its Solemn Procession in celebration of the 89th Parochial Fiesta.

Beginning at the SJGP Grounds, parishioners walked together in prayer and thanksgiving, carrying candles as they joined the image of Saint James the Greater in a public expression of faith and devotion.

The procession reflected the parish community's unity, gratitude, and enduring spiritual tradition as this year's fiesta celebration continued.

In his homily during the Concelebrated Mass for the 89th Parochial Fiesta at St. James the Great Parish in Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐑. 𝐀𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚, 𝐃.𝐃. reminded the faithful of the essence of Christian discipleship:

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟖𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡, 𝐁𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚.

Saint James the Great is one of the first disciples called by Jesus Christ and the first of the Apostles to give his life as a martyr for the Gospel. His unwavering faith, courage, and wholehearted commitment to Christ continue to inspire us to follow the Lord with trust and perseverance. As we honor St. James today, may his example strengthen our own journey of faith and remind us that true discipleship means serving God and others with love, humility, and steadfast devotion. May this celebration deepen our relationship with Christ and fill our hearts with His grace and peace. Happy Feast of St. James the Apostle! 🙏✝️
