Theme: BECs AS LOCUS OF SYNODALITY: HOPE TO OUR WOUNDED WORLD
Acts 2:42โ€“47

Today, we celebrate National BEC Sunday, highlighting the life and mission of the Basic Ecclesial Communities as living expressions of synodality in the Church.

Rooted in the early Christian community described in Acts, the BECs gather in prayer, fellowship, breaking of the Word, and sharing of life. They become a concrete sign of communion, participation, and mission โ€” where faith is lived in simplicity, solidarity, and love.

In a wounded world marked by division, suffering, and uncertainty, BECs stand as beacons of hope โ€” where neighbors become family, and the Gospel is lived in daily life.

May this celebration renew our commitment to journey together as one Church, walking in faith and building communities of hope and compassion.

โ€œGlory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.โ€ โ€” Matthew 28:19

Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity โ€” the central mystery of our Christian faith: one God in three Divine Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

In this sacred mystery, we are invited into the very life of God, who is perfect love, communion, and unity. The Father creates us, the Son redeems us, and the Holy Spirit sanctifies us โ€” drawing us continually into deeper relationship with God and with one another.

May this solemnity remind us that we are loved by a Triune God who dwells within us, and may it inspire us to live in unity, love, and faithfulness as true children of God.

Today, we celebrate the glorious Pentecost Sunday, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary โ€” marking the birth of the Church and the fulfillment of Christโ€™s promise to send the Advocate.

Filled with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the Apostles were strengthened to proclaim the Gospel with courage, faith, and zeal to all nations. On this sacred day, we are reminded that the same Holy Spirit continues to guide, renew, and strengthen the Church and all the faithful.

May this solemnity inspire us to open our hearts to the Holy Spirit, that we may live as true witnesses of Christโ€™s love, bearers of peace, and instruments of hope in our world today.

Today, we joyfully celebrate the 1993rd Birthday of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church โ€” founded by our Lord Jesus Christ and guided by the Holy Spirit through the ages.

For nearly two millennia, the Church has continued Christโ€™s mission of proclaiming the Gospel, celebrating the Sacraments, and leading souls closer to God. Through moments of joy and trial, the Church remains a living sign of faith, unity, hope, and salvation for all people.

As we commemorate this special day, may we renew our commitment as members of Christโ€™s Body โ€” living our faith faithfully, serving with love, and witnessing to the Gospel in our daily lives.
