Matthew 1:21 KJV
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins.
We weren’t expecting.
We weren’t interested.
We weren’t involved.
We didn’t ask.
We didn’t deserve.
We didn’t help.
We didn’t even imagine.
And yet:
"For unto us a child is born,
unto us a Son is given:"..and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
As far as the Bible is concern, Jesus was NOT born on December 25th, but no one can't deny the fact the He was still born, and that He lived, died and rose again on the third day. Regarding not the day, let us, nevertheless, give God thanks for the gift of his dear Son.
As many celebrate the Christmas spirit, especially giving of gifts, let us be reminded of God's perfect gift to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, who was born to die for our sins so that we can have everlasting life. Let us repent of our sin by putting our faith in Jesus Christ and trusting Him as our Lord and personal Savior.
Ephesians 2:8-10
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
[10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Romans 10:9-11
[9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
[11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
John 3:16-21
[16] For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
[18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
[19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
[20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
[21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Mark 1:15
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: "REPENT YE, AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL."
Season's Greetings, Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone!
