17th Sunday in Ordinary Time | July 26, 2026

Today’s Gospel (Matthew 13:44–52) reminds us that the Kingdom of Heaven is the greatest treasure we could ever possess. Like the man who found the hidden treasure and the merchant who discovered the pearl of great price, we are invited to place God above all else. May we seek Christ with joyful hearts, choose what truly matters, and live each day as faithful disciples, knowing that life with Him is worth every sacrifice.

Today’s Gospel (Matthew 13:24–43) shares the parable of the wheat and the weeds. It reminds us to trust in God’s patience and mercy. Even in a world where good and evil exist side by side, we are called to choose what is good, avoid judging others, and allow God to continue working in our hearts. May we bear the fruits of faith, kindness, and love each day. 🙏

For the first time, the Holy Relic of Saint Francis of Assisi will visit Saint Mark the Evangelist Parish, Cabarroguis from July 18–20, 2026, as part of the Nationwide Pilgrimage commemorating the 800th Anniversary of the Transitus of St. Francis of Assisi (1226–2026).

We warmly invite everyone to take part in the Holy Masses, the public veneration of the relic, and this unique opportunity to honor one of the Church's most beloved saints.

Catechetical Mission for the Preparation of the First Holy Communion

A meaningful beginning of our Catechetical Mission as Fr. Augusto officially introduced the kick-off of the Catechism Program for Grade 4 to Grade 6 pupils in preparation for their First Holy Communion.

This mission was made possible through the collaboration of Ma'am Irene of Sn. Manuel Elementary School, the Principal of San Francisco-Annex, the OIC-Head Teacher of Aglipay East, and Ma'am Hilaria together with the principals of Aglipay West. The program also reaches students from Grades 4–10, helping guide them in their faith journey and deeper understanding of the Catholic faith.

May this mission lead our young learners closer to Christ as they prepare to receive Him in the Holy Eucharist. 🙏✨
