Wearing black today as a visual reminder of a heavy truth: on our own, we all miss the mark and fall short of God’s perfect standard (Romans 3:23). But the story doesn't end in the dark! 🖤

Praise God that Jesus stepped onto the court for us! He lived perfectly so we could be rescued. Today was all about taking ourselves off the throne and choosing to love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37-38).

Trying to fix our own sin is like trying to swim when you don't know how—you're just going to sink. Thank God we don't have to self-rescue! Our Youth Purple Sunday Service reminded us that salvation is a free gift. All we have to do is stop swimming on our own strength and call out to Him. ✝️💜
