Do You Want To Be Made Well

John 5:6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?.

Christ knows how long we have carried our burden.. He sees the silent battles..unanswered prayers and weariness of our heart yet His question still speaks to us today: “Do you truly want to be made whole?”. Healing begins when we respond to Him in faith and obedience. Thus let us come to Jesus and trust His working in and through us..

Let us Honor God and Make Jesus Famous!!

Devotional Passage

(Enjoy reading your Bible first) Forgetting those things which are behind . . . I press toward the goal. —Philippians 3:13-14

PRACTICAL TRUTH

I was having lunch with two men who had opened their lives to Christ while they were in prison. The younger man had been discouraged by the fact that the family from whom he had stolen would not forgive him.

“My crime was violent,” the older man said. “It continues to haunt and affect the family to this day. They have not forgiven me, . . . the pain is just too great. At first, I found myself paralyzed by this longing for their forgiveness.” He continued his story: “Then one day I realized I was adding selfishness to my brokenness. It’s a lot to expect that the family forgive me. I was focused on what I felt I needed to heal from my past. It took some time to realize that their forgiveness of me was a matter between them and God.”

“How can you stand it?” the younger man asked.

The older man explained that God did for him what he didn’t deserve and what others simply can’t do: He died for our sins, and He keeps His promise to move our sins “as far as the east is from the west” (Ps. 103:12) and “will not remember [our] sins” (Isa. 43:25).

In the face of such great love, we honor Him by accepting His forgiveness as sufficient. We must forget what lies behind and keep pressing forward (Phil. 3:13-14).

LIFE APPLICATION

Thank You, Father, for the work of Christ on the
cross. Help me to understand and accept what
it means for me, and to be a messenger of that
forgiveness to those I meet along the way.

The work of Christ is sufficient for every sin.

Blessed Saturday to you and all.

THE BENEFITS OF WISDOM
God generously gives wisdom—all we have to do is ask.

James 1:5-8

Wisdom is one of the most important tools in times of trial. And James 1:5 says God will give it generously when we ask.

However, there are times when wisdom doesn’t feel easy to acquire—for example, when God allows a test in our life after we’ve asked Him to make us wise. He may permit a challenge because temptations and difficulty can help us discover our level of devotion to Him. When we go through a time of testing, we learn whether we’re willing to say, “God, I don’t like this or understand it, but I’m going to obey You no matter what.” It’s hard to know for sure whether we would respond this way unless we go through difficulties that put our faith to the proof.

In fact, we grow in our devotion to the Lord by making wise decisions despite opposition and by obeying regardless of temptation or inconvenience. Such challenges are similar to a refiner’s fire: They sanctify and purify us (Job 23:10). These situations not only reveal what God is doing in us; they can also point out ways we might be trying to ignore the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

Allowing God to do His work positions us to receive blessings, see His power, and feel His love in new ways. This is not only a way to become wise; it’s also the pathway to great joy.

THINGS THAT CAN BE SHAKEN
In Jesus, we have salvation, security, and steadfast love.
June 4, 2025
Haggai 2:6-9

God has ways of shaking the world when He is up to something big. He literally caused the ground to quake when Jesus died on the cross and after Pentecost (Matthew 27:51; Acts 4:31). These were none-too-subtle messages which meant, Pay attention because important things are happening!

Today, the ground may not be physically moving, but the Lord is certainly doing some shaking. People too often build their lives on the weak cornerstones of their human wisdom, goodness, and ingenuity. But there is only one secure foundation: Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11).

God always has a purpose for permitting upheaval in His ordered creation. Among other things, He is shaking the church out of its apathy and self-focus, reminding believers not to trust in the temporary structures of this world. Rather, we are to rest upon the safe and firm foundation provided by God’s steadfast love, salvation, and kingdom, which is present here and now.

As the Lord’s ambassadors on earth—and the only ones standing on firm ground—we have a responsibility to offer real hope to those whose foundation has become unstable. No job, government, or even religion can give a person long-term security. A relationship with Jesus Christ is the only lasting refuge.
