THE book of Revelation is not a book most people associate with hope. Yet the theme โRevelation of Hopeโ is precisely what drew Sima village, East Yangoru, into a series of evenings that ended with twenty people making decisions that will change the rest of their lives.
The evangelistic meeting, hosted by Sima company church under the oversight of Kwarabri local church and its pastor Michael Hulasare, was led by Yangoru District Director Pastor Michael Lus as the guest speaker. The program ran smoothly throughout, building toward a Sabbath conclusion that the village will not soon forget.
Five individuals gave their lives to Jesus through baptism: Mathieah Aiyowen, Morin Narakau, Athleen Nawara, Ricky Narakau, and Alex Pieyeningi. Three women and two men, each carrying their own story into the water and emerging with a new one.
The harvest did not stop at five. During the appeal, fifteen more people from Sima village stepped forward and joined the baptismal line, making their public commitment to follow Jesus at the next available program. For Kwarabri local church and its pastor Michael Hulasare, the meeting has planted seeds that are already bearing fruit before the evangelistic series has even closed.
Twenty decisions in one village. It is the kind of result that reminds the church why it still goes, still speaks, and still trusts that the Word of God does not return empty.
