One of Scripture Union's working principles is church partnership. And in PNG our main focus area is School Christian Fellowships which we call "SU Fellowship" 😊 SU is a parachurch organisation which means we work "alongside" local churches. We are not a church.

1 Corinthians 12:12-13
"Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all it's many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.... whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free"

Ephesians 4:3
"Make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace"

Creation care is an act of worship.

When we teach children and communities to value the earth God has entrusted to us, we are planting more than seeds — we are planting responsibility, gratitude, and hope for the future.

Through Scripture Union’s creation care initiatives, young people are learning that faith is not only lived inside the church, but also in the way we protect and nurture God’s creation.

Every hand in the soil is a reminder that caring for the earth is part of caring for God’s people.

Today we celebrate the incredible mothers and mother figures within the SU family.

Thank you for the love, care, wisdom, and encouragement you pour into the lives of young people every single day. Whether in your homes, schools, camps, or ministry spaces, your nurturing hearts reflect the love of Christ so beautifully.

We also honour our “SU moms” — those who may not be mothers by title, but who faithfully guide, support, pray for, and walk alongside so many of our campers and participants.

May you feel deeply appreciated, celebrated, and blessed today for the vital role you play in shaping lives and pointing young people toward Jesus.
