A séance is a gathering of people under the direction or leadership of a spiritualist or medium who attempts to connect with the spirits of the dead for advise, direction, blessing, protection, etc. Living people trusting in expired people....how foolish is that?

Séances are not new. Both the Old and New Testaments mention mediums, spiritists, and occult practices (1 Samuel 28:3; 2 Chronicles 33:6; Isaiah 8:19; 19:3; Acts 8:9).

The Old and New testaments also both warn against trying to contact the dead, or to use a medium (Leviticus 19:31; 20:6; Galatians 5:20).

In 1 Samuel 28:7–25 is the account of the witch of Endor who was able to contact the spirit of Samuel for King Saul. Samuel was not pleased, and this was something that Saul should not have done. The end result was that both King Saul and his son Jonathan were killed in the battle after this encounter.

Do not treat the occult or practices such as séances as silly, fun or intriguing. Demonic forces are real and they work to harm those who seek them. Demons would like nothing better than for us not to take them seriously (John 8:44; 1 Peter 5:8).

No one should be trying to contact the dead or any other occult practice because the end result always leads to death. But Christ Jesus came that we may all have life, and to have it in its fullness. (John 10:10).

Why seek the living among the dead? Jesus is not among the dead. He is alive. He is a living spirit. Seek advise, guidance, direction, protection, blessing, etc...from the LIVING ONE rather than from the dead.

Remember, Satan and his demons can appear as counterfeit spirits mimicking your dead ancestors because he is the father of lies and his mission is to steal, kill and destroy.

SO SEEK LIFE. JESUS CHRIST ALONE IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.

Jesus and His disciples lived under the OLD COVENANT and observed the Law under that Covenant.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:17...“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.

The fulfilling of the Law was demonstrated in His ministry, teachings and life. That's the NEW COVENANT life in which the Holy Spirit reveals SPIRITUAL TRUTHS contained in the Law. Jesus said it this way...

YOU HAVE HEARD....
BUT I SAY TO YOU....

Matthew 5:21-22 (read to vs.48)
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.

THATS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW.
THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT IN CHRIST JESUS.
THE RIGHTEOUS REQUIREMENT OF THE LAW.

So New Covenant believers are Spirit Filled and Led people living the LAW OF THE SPIRIT IN CHRIST JESUS, LIVING BY THE RIGHTEOUS REQUIREMENTS OF THE LAW AND THUS FULFILLING THE LAW.

Our obedience in keeping the Law (Commandments) is in living by its Spiritual Fulfillment as taught and demonstrated by Jesus Himself and revealed as TRUTH by the Holy Spirit.

John 14:15-17
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

So the Law's function as TUTOR (Galatians 3:24) was to teach us SPIRITUAL TRUTH that sets us free from the Law of sin and death. The Holy Spirit enlightens and reveals these truths to those who seek and search for the TRUTH.

Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

This is a quote from Les Brown, someone who had his challenges as a youth but went on to follow his dreams and make them all come true.

MANY ARE TOO AFRAID OF FAILURE AND WILL NEVER TAKE THE FIRST STEP TO LIVING OUT THEIR DREAMS....THE FINAL CONSEQUENCES ARE LIVING WITH REGRET AND THEN HAVING THEIR DREAMS, HOPES AND ASPIRATIONS DIE WITH THEM.

Psalms 139:16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.

YOUR LIFE IS COMPLETE IN GOD FROM BIRTH TO DEATH. ALL YOUR DAYS ARE FASHIONED, YOU DONT HAVE TO LIVE IN UNCERTAINTY AND FEAR. TRUST IN GOD AND TAKE THE FIRST STEP OF FAITH INTO DOING WHAT GOD MADE YOU TO BE. LET HIM LEAD YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY....ONLY TRUST IN HIM, BELIEVE IN HIM.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

AND IF OR WHEN YOU MAKE A MISTAKE OR FAIL, REMEMBER THAT IT IS MUCH EASIER TO DRIVE AND STEER A MOVING VEHICLE THAN A PARKED ONE.

SOMEONE SAID "GOD GOES WITH GOERS AND HE MOVES WITH MOVERS".

So dont give up...Wait on the LORD and renew your strength; then mount up again with wings like eagles, run again and He will teach you not to be weary, walk again and you shall be taught not faint or give up easily.

THE HOLY SPIRIT KNOWS WHERE TO GUIDE YOU TO FOR HE IS OMNISCIENT. HE KNOWS THE END FROM THE BEGINNING.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths to fulfill your God-dreams.

GOD SAYS TO YOU... I know the thoughts that I think toward you...thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

SO...TAKE THAT FIRST STEP OF FAITH AND TRUST THE LORD LEAD YOU STEP BY STEP.

Psalms 37:23-24
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way.Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand.

MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU AND PUT A NEW FIRE, PASSION AND ZEAL TO KEEP PRESSING ON IN PURSUIT OF THE FULFILLMENT OF YOUR GOD-DREAMS.

Matthew 5:13-16 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

1. Every believer is salt (flavour)
2. Every believer is light (revelation)
3. According to God, you cant be hidden in your little corner
4. His plan for you is that you will reach the whole earth. That's the God-potential in you. Only you can limit God's purpose for your life.
5. You are to shine before men. God changed you to be His vessel to reach other men.
6. You were never changed to give flavour and light to yourself.
7. Others will glorify God by seeing the work of God in your life. You are the revelation of God's goodness, power and nature.

Acts 2:40-47 (NKJV)
A Vital Church Grows

40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” 41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved................................................................

A very simple sermon about Jesus Christ, preached with power and anointing, saved 3000 men in one day.

The early church only had the Apostles teachings and fellowship. They shared Communion from house to house. They were not materialistic. They shared and loved each other genuinely. They prayed and they praised. They had gladness and simplicity of heart.

In their love, genuineness and simplicity, signs and wonders followed them and God added members daily to the church.

WE HAVE BECOME SO COMPLICATED AND MISSED THE SIMPLICITY OF LOVING GOD AND OTHERS.

WE HAVE MADE CHRISTIANITY A PROGRAM RATHER THAN OUR LIFESTYLES.

WE HAVE STRUGGLED TO MAKE CONVERTS BECAUSE PEOPLE DONT SEE US LIVING AND DEMONSTRATING THE LOVE AND THE POWER.

O Lord, help us trust in you and find complete rest in you. Help us to genuinely love you and others with godly love. May our lives demonstrate and manifest the Spirit filled and controlled life that convicts and changes hearts.

Acts 2:14-24 (NKJV)
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. 15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and v***r of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. 21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.’ 22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know— 23 Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; 24 whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.....................................................................

Peter rose and spoke with boldness and authority. Compare this Peter to the one who denied Jesus about 2 months ago. What a dramatic transformation by the indwelling presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

Joel prophesied that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit would mark the beginning of the last days. This happened about 2000 years ago. So all we are waiting for now is the ending of the last days. As sure as it began, so shall it end.

The Holy Spirit has come and is filling young and old, oth male and female. They will all prophesy....speak the "now" Word of God with boldness and power. It's no longer going to be restricted to age and gender.

There is a day coming called "the great and awesome day of the Lord". As the name says, it will be a great day for the saved and Spirit filled. It will be awesome because it will be WOW! WOW! WOW!.....for the believers as we are taken into the majestic splendor and glory of the Kingdom of God.

What about those who chose not to believe? It will be a great day of terror, regrets, realization of their unfruitful arrogance and stupidity.

Peter said, "Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words..."

JESUS CHRIST IS COMING AGAIN. THE END IS GETTING NEARER EVERY DAY. ARE YOU READY TO MEET HIM ON THAT GREAT AND AWESOME DAY?

The Holy Spirit saved 3000 men that day thru this first sermon of Peter. I pray that you also will make a decision to believe in Jesus Christ as your Saviour, if you are still unsaved.

Simply pray and invite Jesus into your life. Ask Him to forgive your sins and be washed by His blood. Then ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit and become a member of a Spirit filled church to meet other brothers and sisters who are on the same journey of life to grow in faith.

5 And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. 6 And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. 7 Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? 9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” 12 So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”.......................................................

* The first time that believers spoke in tongues, they spoke in known tongues that were understood by the people.

* The very first message (delivered in tongues) after the coming of the Holy Spirit was about the wonderful works of God.

* These supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit amazed and perplexed the unsaved.

* The Holy Spirit did all this through simple, lay people, mostly fishermen.

* It does not matter who we are...when the Holy Spirit takes over our lives, supernatural manifestations of His ability working through us should amaze and perplex people around us.

* This is for the farmer, carpenter, mechanic, clerk, teacher, doctor, CEO, cleaner, house wife, etc...

* Its not by might nor by power but by My Spirit says the Lord.

Very prophetic timing for Png as the Most Holiest Day on God's calendar falls on the eve of our Independence anniversary this year.

When God's Appointed Time meets mans calendar, something supernatural happens. The church in PNG must be excited and expecting God to move powerfully these next 12 months.

Acts 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

Acts 2:1-4
Coming of the Holy Spirit
1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance...................................................................

* Prayer and supplication in one accord at one place and at the divinely appointed time. This was the atmosphere in which the Holy Spirit came. Create the atmosphere for Him to visit you.

* Holy Spirit came with a sound, He came like a strong wind, He appeared like fire. Holy Spirit came with power. When He visits you, it will be a life-changing, power encounter.

* Holy Spirit filled the whole house where they were sitting. He wants to fill His temple with His Presence. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. How much of you can He fill? The whole house or just parts of it?

* Each one (divided tongues as of fire) sat upon each of them. No one missed out. The Holy Spirit was poured out for each one, for everyone who is born again. No one should miss out...God has done a head count.

* They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. This was the very first time for any NT born again believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to speak in tongues. They did not know how the outpouring of the Holy Spirit would happen. It happened how God intended it to be and they just received it God's way.

God wants us to be filled with the Holy Spirit. How He does it is up to Him. Just believe that He wants to fill us with His Spirit now.

Don't tell God what to do. Just believe and allow Him to have His way in your life. Speaking in tongues follows the infilling and overflowing of the Holy Spirit in your life. Be expecting.
