Its now 2018, my second year of ministry in Mendi Central Circuit, as last year was my time of orienting into the circuit and this year will be a busy time for me as a minister. We just celebrated the United Church 50 years Jubilee celebrations from 16-19 Jan 2018, commemorating the day when LMS, Methodist, Uniting church in POM to form one church called "United Church" on Jan 19 1968. Great events unfolded in Mendi during that week.
Admist these events, the YWAM or Youth With a Mission group came to Mendi and we enjoyed every moment with them. Today was awsome at Wakwak, yesterday at Mopa and tommorrow at Tente2.

United Church Highlands Region had her 11th Annual Synod at Tente United Church HQ on the 26th Aug to 02 Sept 2017.
It was enjoyable though the community of Mendi and SHP were in terrible condition due election related violence. Due to that only Nipa south circuit didn't attend, but despite the fear and setback every circuits attended and end peacefully with Holy Communion service.

This year has been crucial to me and my family as we have just transfered to a new location to serve God, from rural settings to urban (Semb, Upper North to Wakwak, Mendi Central). We found it difficult to cope up to the area with few hiccups in children schools and well medication and the ministry. I have only one time visited each congregations since I came mid March this year the incumbent did not tranfer out quickly so we had to wait for April. My family and I tried to move around for visitation in May and June until we came to the time of election. July and Agust have been very tough and church activities decline due to the fever of politics. many have lost lives related to politics, all mps declared, and governor seat still under tussle and yet to be declared, whether it be fail or governor elected, its still pending. I encourage us to pray for peace and harmony to prevail amidst such situations.
Its been hard to update us with the daily happenings but this is a summary of what suppose to be important and known to us.

Good evening to all friends and viewers of this page "Bermo Ministry".
Let me give few information about whats happening next month in our church. The United Church Highlands Regional Bible College will pass out 13 pastor graduates on the 05th November at Tente, Mendi. One of them is a female trainee pastor (Ruth Francis) from Upper North Mendi Circuit. She comes from the Kondipa congregation. For the first time after 65 yrs the church trains a female pastor, in which is believed to be male dominated profession.
Furthermore; just after the graduation , the United Church Highlands Region will induct her new bishop on the 06th Nov. He is Rev Hun Morris, then secretary of the church for 10 yrs, who succeeded Rev Wesis Porop who led the church for 10 yrs. Rev Hun Morris hails from Oleya village in the Karinx LLG, Mendi District. He was voted in by the Synod Meeting of the UCHR on August 26th 2015 at Wambip United Church, Karinz Namo Circuit.
Invitations are open to the general public to come and witness the ceremony. A weeklong gospel crusade will be staged at Oleya, in preparation for the induction day. The moderator of the United Church PNG Rev Benard Siai will officiate the induction of the Rev Hun Morris.

A prayer operation for the 2017 National Election will be launch on the 1st November 2016 at Sol United Church, Upper North Mendi Circuit.
Every christians in SHP, n PNG should be praying for a free, fair and safe elections 2017.

Every problem has a solution, God does not let his people be captive of sin forever, He has plans to deliver mankind, and demonstrated his love on the cross. This librating power can still set us free from the bo***ge of sin and shame, therefore Im not ashame to proclaim his name no matter im in what situation in life. Shalom!!

Sept 25th was a day that will be written down in the history of the United Church, Highlands Region. All circuits of the region, Christian churches, Provincial Council of Churches, friends, stakeholders, govnt reps, mps n former mps all came together for the farewell of the Bisop Rev Wesis Porop n Family. Christians presented gifts in cash n kind to the family. The region office gve a car and cash as a tokeñ for the service rendered to church for 10 yrs to the UC, Highlands Region. He will be remembered for many things he has achieved. He was replaced by the Rev Hun Morris and will be inducted into office on 06th Nov 2016 at his home village, Oleya in Karinz LLG of Mendi Munhiu District.

Good night everyone. I wish to remind christians that these are evil days, the devil is playing his tactics to pull down believers so keep your faith in Jesus.
I have gone through many struggles through in my christian endeavours. so lets prayer for one another, for the devil's target is to kill, destroy n steal. God bless you all.
